Who led me into Counselling?
The world tells us to make SWOT analysis, set up a five-year goals, set our minds on something and pursue it. I gathered that I had great ability to learn, I can be self determined, disciplined, focused and achieve my goals...
One day, finding myself at that crossroad of setting major professional goals again, I became frustrated. I have walked this road many time to the best of my abilities and gotten very good results, but which did not quench the longing in my heart. So, instead of the usual process, as a born again Christian, I asked the Most High God for guidance; and I had a dream in which a messenger told me to read Isaiah 61. I recall asking the messenger, "why not Isaiah 62 or 63?", there was just silence. After reading Isaiah 61, my next question was "How Lord?" and He has led me since into Christian Counselling, Psychotherapy and Ministry.
It is a joy to abide in Christ.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor,
and the day of vengeance of our God;
to comfort all who mourn;
to grant to those who mourn in Zion-
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness instead of mourning,
the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit;
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
They shall build up the ancient ruins;
they shall raise up the former devastations;
they shall repair the ruined cities,
the devastations of many generations.
