ABOUT THIS CONCERT

We are thrilled to have both old friends and new faces with us for the opening night of our season. Tonight, we celebrate the magic of chamber music with some of the finest professional musicians in the South Bay, sharing their passion and artistry. The evening will begin with Dvořák's beloved string quartet, American, a timeless favorite known for its rich melodies. Next, we’ll enjoy the intimate dialogue of Mozart’s Duo for Violin and Viola, followed by the depth and intricacy of Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1, then close the first half of the concert with the dazzling virtuosity of Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen. In the second half, we are delighted to present two pieces, both accompanied by a string quartet: Telemann's Viola Concerto in G major and Schubert's Rondo D438. Our concert will conclude with Grieg’s lively and graceful Holberg Suite

Supported by the Virtuosi Music & Art Foundation, the mission of Virtuosi San Jose is to share the beauty and power of music with our community. We are committed to enriching the cultural fabric of the South Bay through concerts for all ages, inspiring soloists, and engaging campus events. Thank you for joining us tonight—together, let’s create memories that will resonate long after the final notes have faded. Enjoy the music!
