Gmail In Browser

In this article, I will only show you how to get to your Gmail account using a browser (Firefox, Chrome, Explorer, Edge, Safari) on your computer. There are many things that you can do with Gmail, and you will need to explore on your own, or search for articles and How Tos on the web. Remember, if you can't figure out how to do something, ask Google or whichever search engine you're using. Search engines are your friends, use them.

To use Gmail, you must first get to it. You can either type in the address directly, or use the 9-dot icon. I have described how to do this in another article, and don't want to be copying information, so please go to Browser Apps - it tells you all you need to know about getting to Gmail in your browser. If you see Gmail, but don't see the correct Inbox, the next step is to make sure that you're using the right account - please see the article Switching Google Accounts.

Hints:

• I have heard that some people like to use one browser (e.g. Firefox) for their personal Gmail, and another (Chrome) for their volunteer account. I personally like to use just one, and switch accounts and apps - I often have several tabs open in my browser at once, each with a different account and different App
