G Drive Mobile Navigation

Note: Make sure you are using the latest version available from your mobile device App Store!

After you log in to one of your Google accounts, you'll see a screen similar to this:

IMPORTANT NOTE: After I created these images, Google changed "Team Drives" to "Shared Drives." I have not had the time to take new screenshots... please make that mental adjustment as you follow this article.

These are my observation:

• Important: As you navigate drives and folders in your smartphone app, you may notice that their contents has not been synced and files you have expected to be there are missing. To sync folder contents on your iPhone, swipe the main area down, just like you sync your email. I do not know if this is the same gesture that is used on Android phones - use whatever works there.
• As I am used to with Google Apps in the browser, I see the profile icon at the top right. Touch it to add or switch accounts.
• Across the bottom, I have several choices, all pretty clear. I have selected "Files" and now I see an obvious choice near the top to pick My Drive or Shared Drives.
• From now on, things are pretty clear. Touch a drive name to get to what is stored in it. Touch a folder to see what is in it. Touch a file to edit it (you will be switched to the Google Docs or Google Sheets app if needed).
• Touch the tree horizontal dots next to a drive/folder/file name to see what you can do with it. By the way, there are many things you can do, so don't forget to swipe the menu up to see what's hiding below!
• And there is nice colorful "+" button to create new things.
