Viroqua Area Schools recognizes the need in today's world to go an extra step to make sure our children are safe. Parents and community members who are interested in volunteering at school or being a chaperone on field trips need to complete a Volunteer Registration Form.
The Volunteer Policy requires that ALL volunteers are subject to a background screening before they will be able to participate in any volunteer opportunity at VAS. Once the background screening is complete, you will be able to help as opportunities arise. All volunteer registration forms are kept on file in the district. Volunteer registration forms need to be returned to school at least one week before the event. Forms not returned in a timely manner may result in denying the volunteer opportunity until the background check has been completed. Forms will not be accepted the day of the event.
