Jessica Montgomery

I am an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Gatton College of Business and Economics at the University of Kentucky. I graduated with my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Virginia in 2025. 

My research focuses on household finance and financial inclusion in credit and housing markets. I study how market failures—especially externalities and informational asymmetries—and foundational institutions like property rights shape consumer behavior, market access, and financial decision-making.
