My name is Andrew Will. I am a sixth-year PhD student in mathematics at the University of Virginia. I am studying under the advisement of Slava Krushkal.
I am very passionate about teaching and have had over five years of experience. I strive for the classroom to be a place to prepare students for the wide variety of workplaces they will encounter, whether they be related to math or not. I believe there are no math people. There are only people, and math is a tool that can benefit anyone.
My research interests lie in the field of geometric topology. More specifically, I study knot theory and its relationship to geometry, including hyperbolic geometry.
