If you want long battery life and an everyday neckband for a kid, choose ZXQ Neckband; if you need open-ear headphones with onboard music storage for swimming, choose Roujune Bone Conduction Headphones. The key decision is whether you want a familiar Bluetooth neckband with extended listening time or a waterproof design that can play stored music without a Bluetooth connection underwater.
ZXQ Neckband vs Roujune Bone Conduction Headphones at a Glance
• Roujune Bone Conduction Headphones: Its standout strength is an open-ear bone-conduction design with 32GB of built-in storage and an MP3 mode for swimming. Its trade-off is up to 8 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth does not work underwater.
• Choose ZXQ for long stretches between charges, calls, and general Bluetooth listening.
• Choose Roujune for swimming with music stored on the headphones, or when keeping the ear canal open is a priority.
ZXQ is the practical everyday pick for someone who wants wireless earbuds connected by a neckband instead of two separate earpieces. The earbuds sit in the ears, while the soft band rests around the neck. When you take the earbuds out, they can attach to the ends of the control or battery section rather than dangling freely. That detail may suit a kid who regularly removes headphones between activities, though the product information describes the age range as adult, so parents should consider fit and supervision rather than assume it is designed specifically for children.
Its biggest concrete advantage is battery endurance: the 800mAh battery is specified for up to 100 hours of talk or music playback, with a stated full charge time of two hours. A 15-minute fast charge is described as providing about 10 hours of use. ZXQ also supports Bluetooth 5.3 and connection to two Bluetooth devices at once. The inline buttons and microphone cover basic music and call control, and the included carrying case gives the set a place to go when it is not being worn.
How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
This is a sensible fit for a listener who wants headphones for podcasts, video, calls, walks, or exercise and would rather not recharge every day. The 10mm drivers are described as delivering rich bass and clear calls, but that does not make ZXQ an over-ear audiophile headphone. Someone searching for the best hi-fi stereo over-ear headphones for audiophiles is looking for a different design category. Skip ZXQ if you specifically want an open-ear style, onboard music storage for swimming, or headphones that do not place earpieces in the ear canal.
Roujune takes a different approach: the headphones use bone conduction and an open-ear design rather than conventional in-ear buds. That can appeal to someone who does not want a sealed ear-canal fit. The product is described as waterproof to IPX8 and includes 32GB of memory with MP3 mode, making it the more purpose-built option here for swimming with audio.
There is an important detail for swimmers: Bluetooth signals cannot transmit underwater. The headphones therefore need music files stored on their internal memory and must be switched to MP3 mode before swimming. The listed supported file formats include MP3, WMA, FLAC, APE, and WAV. Bluetooth mode is available for ordinary listening outside the water, but the underwater use case depends on stored files, not a phone streaming over Bluetooth.
The battery life is specified as up to 8 hours, which is far below ZXQ’s stated maximum. That makes Roujune a more specialized choice: it fits a swimmer who wants onboard playback and an open-ear design, but it is less compelling for someone whose main priority is going a long time between charges. It may also suit a listener who wants a headphone style that does not cover the ears, though the available information does not establish how it fits every head shape or how it feels during long sessions. The headphones are not an over-ear model, so they are not a direct answer to searches for the best deep-bass wireless headset for glasses wearers.
• Best for longer battery life → ZXQ Neckband. Its stated maximum is up to 100 hours per full charge, compared with up to 8 hours for Roujune.
• Best for swimming with stored music → Roujune. Its IPX8 waterproof design, 32GB memory, and MP3 mode are the relevant features. Switch to MP3 mode before getting in the water because Bluetooth cannot transmit underwater.
• Best for everyday calls → ZXQ Neckband. It includes an inline microphone and controls for calls and music.
• Best for an open-ear design → Roujune. It uses bone conduction and is described as open ear, while ZXQ has in-ear earpieces.
• Best for connecting to two devices at once → ZXQ Neckband. Its feature information specifies simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices.
• Best for a quick top-up → ZXQ Neckband. A 15-minute charge is described as providing about 10 hours of use; Roujune’s listed battery life is up to 8 hours.
• Best when you want music on the headphones instead of a phone connection → Roujune. Its 32GB storage and supported audio-file formats enable MP3 playback from the headphones.
• Best for a multipoint-style device routine → ZXQ Neckband. It can connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, which may help if you switch between a phone and another Bluetooth source. That is not the same as a gaming-specific feature, so shoppers looking for multipoint gaming headphones should not assume either model is designed for gaming.
• Best fit for a child’s ordinary listening routine → ZXQ Neckband, with an important caveat. Its long battery life and attached neckband may be convenient, but its stated age range is adult; check suitability and fit for the child rather than treating it as a children’s model.
For a child’s everyday listening, I would choose ZXQ Neckband, mainly for its far longer stated battery life, inline call and music controls, and two-device Bluetooth connection. The neckband also gives the earpieces a place to rest when they are removed.
I would choose Roujune instead if swimming is the central use case. Its open-ear bone-conduction design, waterproof construction, and onboard MP3 storage address needs ZXQ does not. My overall pick for general use is ZXQ, but for swimming with music, Roujune is the more suitable tool.
Can I use Roujune Bone Conduction Headphones with Bluetooth while swimming?
No. Bluetooth signals cannot transmit underwater, so streaming from a phone will not work in the water. Load supported music files onto the headphones and switch to MP3 mode before swimming.
Which headphones last longer on a charge?
ZXQ is specified for up to 100 hours of talk or music playback per full charge, while Roujune is specified for up to 8 hours. Actual listening time can vary, but the stated maximum makes ZXQ the clear choice for longer intervals between charges.
The provided features do not identify either model as gaming headphones. ZXQ can connect to two Bluetooth devices at once, but that alone does not establish gaming performance or suitability. Roujune’s defining features are bone conduction, onboard MP3 playback, and swimming use.
Roujune’s open-ear design may be worth considering if you want to avoid conventional in-ear earpieces, but the available product details do not explain how it interacts with glasses. ZXQ uses in-ear earbuds connected by a neckband; neither product is specifically described as a glasses-focused headset. Check the current price on Amazon if cost is part of your decision.
