If you want a rugged, all-day battery life and secure in-ear fit for daily commuting or gym sessions, choose ZXQ Neckband; if you need open-ear safety, underwater swimming capability, and a lightweight titanium frame for active outdoor use, choose POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones.
• ZXQ Neckband: Offers an incredible 100-hour battery life and stable Bluetooth 5.3 connection with deep bass, but the in-ear design blocks out some ambient noise and isn't suitable for water immersion.
• POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: Delivers unique open-ear audio with IP68 waterproofing for swimming and a feather-light titanium build, though its 12-hour battery is significantly shorter than the neckband's.
• Best for children who need long listening sessions without charging: The ZXQ Neckband is the clear winner due to its massive capacity.
• Best for children engaging in water sports or needing situational awareness: The POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones are the only logical choice.
The ZXQ Neckband is built for people who prioritize endurance and sound quality over portability. Its most defining feature is the massive 800mAh rechargeable battery, which delivers up to 100 hours of playtime on a single charge. This is not a minor spec; it means you can listen to music, podcasts, or take calls for weeks before needing to plug it into that convenient USB-C port. For families looking for best kids headphones for children who might lose track of time or forget to charge their devices, this longevity removes the anxiety of a dead battery mid-use. A quick fifteen-minute charge even provides ten hours of playback, making it incredibly forgiving for busy schedules.
The design focuses on stability and comfort through a thick, soft silicon neckband and angled earbuds. With a total weight of just 10 grams, the device sits lightly on the user, while the included carrying case protects the unit from damage during travel. The in-line controller allows for easy management of tracks and calls, and the high-definition microphone ensures clear communication. However, because these are in-ear headphones with sound isolation features, they do not allow you to hear your surroundings. If your child needs to be aware of traffic or coaches during outdoor activities, this model might not be the safest option.

This product is ideal for indoor workouts, school commutes, or long flights where battery anxiety is a concern. The advanced Bluetooth 5.3 chip ensures a stable connection up to 10 meters, allowing users to move freely without dropouts. The inclusion of a carrying case adds a layer of durability that TWS earbuds often lack, as the neckband style prevents the "dangling" issue common with other wireless designs. You should skip this product if you plan on swimming or running in heavy rain, as there is no waterproof rating listed for water submersion.
The POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones serve a very specific niche: active users who need to hear the world around them while enjoying audio. These headphones utilize bone conduction technology rather than traditional drivers, meaning they sit outside the ear canal entirely. This makes them one of the best rotatable ear cups bone conduction headphones for children who participate in team sports or run near roads, as they never block out environmental sounds. The open-ear design also eliminates the discomfort of ear pressure during long wear, a common complaint with standard in-ear models.
Waterproofing is where this product truly shines. With an IP68 rating, these headphones are engineered specifically for swimming. Whether your child is splashing in the pool or diving underwater, the audio remains crystal clear. This is a feature almost none of the standard neckband competitors can match. The construction uses flexible titanium alloy, making the headband durable yet ultra-lightweight at just 25 grams. This flexibility ensures a secure fit that won't slip off during intense movement like climbing or hiking. Additionally, the built-in 32GB of storage allows for an MP3 experience without needing a smartphone nearby, which is perfect for swimmers who don't want to risk getting their phone wet.
However, the trade-off is significant battery life compared to the ZXQ. While the POPUX offers a solid 10 hours in Bluetooth mode and 6 hours in MP3 mode, it falls far short of the 100-hour marathon of the neckband. Charging takes longer as well, requiring six hours for a full charge, though fast charging does provide two hours of playback in just ten minutes. This product is best for those who swim, run outdoors, or need situational awareness. It is less suitable for users who want to listen for days on end without interruption or those who prefer the immersive bass response of dynamic drivers found in the ZXQ.
• Best for battery life → ZXQ Neckband: With 100 hours of playtime versus 12 hours, the ZXQ wins easily for long-term listening without charging.
• Best for swimming → POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: The IP68 waterproof rating and bone conduction driver make this the only viable option for underwater use.
• Best for safety/awareness → POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: The open-ear design keeps ears free for hearing traffic and surroundings, unlike the isolating in-ear design of the ZXQ.
• Best value for storage → POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: The 32GB internal memory allows for music playback without a phone, a feature the ZXQ lacks.
• Best for sound isolation → ZXQ Neckband: Dynamic drivers and in-ear placement provide deeper bass and better noise isolation for focused listening.
• Best for lightweight comfort → POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: At 25 grams with a flexible titanium frame, it feels almost non-existent compared to the 10g neckband which wraps around the neck.
• Best for fast charging convenience → ZXQ Neckband: A 15-minute charge yields 10 hours of use, whereas the POPUX requires 10 minutes for only 2 hours.
• Best for durability in harsh weather → POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones: The IP68 rating handles rain, sweat, and submersion better than the standard construction of the ZXQ.
In my opinion, if I were buying best lightweight in ear headphones for children for general daily use, I would lean toward the ZXQ Neckband because of its unmatched battery life and ease of use. The ability to go weeks without charging is a game-changer for parents and kids alike. However, if the primary goal is outdoor activity, swimming, or ensuring safety through situational awareness, I would absolutely choose the POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones. The combination of swimming capability and open-ear design makes it a superior tool for active lifestyles, despite the shorter battery life. Ultimately, the decision rests on whether the priority is endless entertainment or active safety.
Yes, both models are designed for comfort. The ZXQ weighs only 10 grams with soft silicone, while the POPUX is 25 grams with a flexible titanium frame, minimizing pressure on the head and ears.
Absolutely. The POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones carry an IP68 waterproof rating and are specifically engineered to function perfectly underwater.
The ZXQ Neckband offers up to 100 hours of playtime per charge, whereas the POPUX Bone Conduction Headphones provide approximately 10 to 12 hours depending on the mode used.
The POPUX has 32GB of internal storage for MP3s, allowing it to play music independently. The ZXQ requires a Bluetooth connection to a source device to function.
