Zbigniew Wojciechowski
I am a PhD student of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Krähmer at TU Dresden. My research interest lies on the bridge of representation theory, diagrammatics and algebraic combinatorics. Currently I work on a structure-theoretic project relating Gerstenhaber and Hopf algebras by cohomological methods. My topics of interest are:
Representation Theory of Quantum Groups/Hecke algebras
Diagrammatic algebras and categories
Invariant Theory and Algebraic Combinatorics
Algebraic Structures from Operads
Who am I and what is my story?
I was born in Poland, grew up in Germany, and after doing my Master's with Prof. Dr. Catharina Stroppel at the University of Bonn, I ended up in the beautiful city of Dresden.
How do I look?
That's me. The picture was taken during the CIMPA school 'Crossroads of representation theory, geometry and higher structures' in Puerto Madryn/Argentina by Jonas Nehme.
What are my favourite mathematical objects?
Idempotents. They are the most beautiful thing and control a lot of structure everywhere in mathematics.
