Muhammad Zubair Farooqi is currently pursuing a Doctorate (PhD) in the Department of Information and Communications Engineering at Aalto University, Finland. His research focuses on energy-efficient mobile networks, with a special emphasis on machine learning-based optimization of wireless infrastructure for climate sustainability.
Previously, he worked as an Experienced Developer at Ericsson AB, Finland, where he contributed to the development and optimization of modern telecommunication systems. Before that, he was a Research Assistant at Aalto University, working on green communication systems, and has also held academic positions as a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Air University, Islamabad, and as an Instructor at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Islamabad, for over three years.
In addition, Zubair served as a Lead Researcher in the Secure Networks and Distributed Systems (SENDS) Lab, where he worked on several funded research projects involving security in wireless and distributed systems.
He completed his Master’s degree in Computer Science from FAST-NUCES, Islamabad, and his Bachelor’s degree from COMSATS University Islamabad.
