1969 – graduated from Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics (KhIRE), speciality - "Electronic Devices";

1983 – graduated from the  Central Institute for Advanced Training of Leaders and Specialists of the National Economy in the Field of Patent Work, qualification - Patent Expert;

In 1988, she graduated from the Kharkiv state two-year course in English.

1969 – Engineer, Department of Physical Fundamentals of Radio Electronics;

1985 – Leading Engineer, Patent Department, KhRI;

1996 – Engineer, 1st  cat., Patent Department, KNURE.

Since February 2021, Olena Zorina has been working in the Department of Scientific-organizational Work and Scientific-medical Information with the Library.

The main areas of activity in the field of intellectual property (IP):

- organization and participation in the conduct of patent research at various stages of research works within the framework of the thematic plan of the Institute;

- scientific analysis of patent documentation during patent research;

- identification and legal protection (patent or copyright) of medical IP objects in conjunction with scientific units;

- organization and participation in patent and information security of research works at the stages of planning, implementation, and completion;

- control over the validity of patents and their use in the medical practice of the Institute;

- primary accounting and reporting on the results of work in the field of IP in the MES and NAMS of Ukraine;

  - inventory of objects of IP rights as part of intangible assets of the Institute;

- management of current records regarding IP objects belonging to the Institute.
