Never owned a sony but hoping someone could clarify: Will the A7SIII be able to shoot all video modes in crop (aps-c) mode with a full frame lens? And if so, is it possible to further crop in with the 1.5x clear image zoom--effectively croping in as much as 3x?

its one of the biggest complaints about the A7s series. APS-C mode is 1080p. If you want to crop more or do a 1.5x zoom later you are left with 480p like from the 1990s. With the camera you can't use one prime lens for two different focal lengths like other cameras.

Will be good if in future updates, Sony can do the same magic, internally, so we can have a 4k recording (or a good upres from 1080) with aps-c lens without use clearzoom hack (wich sadly not working with 18-105 f4).

Hi, I recently updated Vanced to 16.29.39 after having a much older version (think it was a low 15 number). My videos keep setting themselves to 360p so I went to settings and selected the option to pick the higher quality and now it sets it's self to 480p, which doesn't help.

I'm working on a semi-responsive web design that adapts (has responsive behaviour) to any screen width above 480px. However, my layout can't adapt to fit a screen width under 480px. Below that point, I would like the mobile device to work its magic and zoom out the page content (scale it down) so it fits the device width without the need for horizontal scrolling.

I've read both Android and IOs documentation on the ViewPort meta tag and tried many different combinations. The code below will let the layout responsive behaviour "work" when above 480px and then it will zoom out to fit screen width when below 480p, as expected.

However, if zoom is applied by the user it will save that state for the current mobile browser window and horizontal scrolling will be shown and will not go away unless the user manually zoom out. It won't reset to the expected zoom even if the user reloads the page. At least, that's the behaviour when tested on iPhone. I don't know where to test it for different Android resolutions.

If I add initial-scale, as seen above, the zoom will reset when the page reloads, but since its set to 1 it won't scale down to fit the device width without horizontal scrolling. Instead, it will have 100% width (480px) and show horizontal scrolling on screens under that resolution.

I would like to understand more about ViewPort meta tag behaviour on different devices based on its attributes so I can be sure to have the results I expect in all devices and resolutions. In this case, I want to keep it responsive above 480px and let the mobile device scale it down below that so it fits the device width without horizontal scrolling. Can it be done using only the ViewPort meta tag? If not, I would prefer a solution without having to use any JS library, if possible.

Powered by SONY 1/2.8 Exmor R CMOS module, with 0.01lux@F1.6 starlight level min illumination, Q30TIR can still clearly display image features in utter poor light environment. 2.13 mega effective pixel and 1080p FHD image quality, combined with 30x advanced optical zoom technology, the observation range is up to 3000 meters, which can meet the application requirements of various domains.

@damencho, @saghul Any help here ? We are successfully running Jitsi with over 4000 active users without any major issues. And the video resolution at times gets really bad with some irregular bandwidth calculation mechanism and switches to 180p or even less even if we have set minimum as 480p in config. Any way to set it to never go less than 480p under any circumstance. I am ok if video goes blank or freeze when bandwidth is low.

Hi @Derek_Owumi, I am ok to stress the server as bandwidth and server cost is not my concern here, I wanted to know if there an option force to use the set resolution than allowing the app or browser to decide what is the best. I see many times the decision taken to reduce the quality is really poor. I tested with few other like zoom, teams, skype, etc. They were giving same or good quality overall, but Jitsi was frequently switching between LD, SD and HD.

While watching videos in your daily life, you might notice that there is a wide range of resolutions you can choose, like 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p, etc. Obviously, the higher the number, the better the video quality. But do you really know each video's resolution and related terms? If not, you will benefit here. This page introduces everything about 480p Resolution, including 480p size, 480p aspect ratio, etc., and even shows you the difference between 480p, 720p, and 1080p. Now, let's dive into it!

Resolution is usually a measure used to describe the sharpness and clarity of an image as well as a video, and it is expressed in terms of the number of pixels that can be displayed both horizontally and vertically, like 640 x 480, 888 x 480p, and more. As for the pixel, it is the smallest square point on a monitor screen that emits a specific color.

Often, if your video or image contains more pixels (The number of pixels displayed horizontally x the number of pixels displayed vertically), your image or video has a better quality. You can easily see the details of the image or video, even if you zoom in.

After knowing the Resolution, let's discuss the 480p Resolution now. The 480p Resolution means there are 480 pixels in the vertical plane of the video or screen. Normally, it has a display of 640 x 480, which means there are 640 pixels in the horizontal line of the screen or video and 480 pixels in the vertical plane. This typical 480p Resolution has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and is often used in North America, Japan, and Taiwan.

Moreover, you might also want to learn 4801p resolution data storage. On average, an hour of 480p resolution video will take up about 500 MB of storage space, and it will be different according to the video bitrate and storage resolution.

Aside from that, there are two popular 480p resolutions, and they are 480p24 and 480p30. The numbers after p indicate the frame rate, such as 24 fps, 30 fps. The higher the frame rate, the smoother your video's playback.

To conclude, if you need to store a lot of videos and movies, the 480p Resolution is the best, as it takes less storage space. But if you have a high requirement of image clarity and smoother video framerates, you can take 720p and 1080p into consideration.

Binge On optimizes video quality for smartphone screens. As a result, it provides a great DVD-quality experience (typically 480p or better) for all detectable video while using a fraction of the data, unless a provider chooses to opt-out of the program. To date, no providers have opted out of Binge On. If you have Binge On and want to disable it, we will no longer optimize video for viewing on a mobile device. Your videos may stream at a higher resolution (e.g., HD); however, you will no longer have the ability to stream for free from participating streaming services or have video optimized for your smartphone screen, resulting in faster usage of your high-speed data. You can always change your mind and enable Binge On any time to start enjoying the benefits again. e24fc04721
