Zonta District 8 has a long history of supporting a female student at Lester B Pearson. Initially the Canadian Zonta Clubs pooled their funds to create a scholarship for a female Colombian student.  Over the years District 8 clubs created an endowment, which now supports approximately 40% of a female student's annual cost to attend this world college. Our Zonta Club of Olympia contributes $500 annually to help grow this endowment.  

In addition to scholarship support, District 8 Zonta clubs are assigned a group of students to support throughout the year. This year Zonta Club of Olympia is assigned to TWELVE students!  Our goal is to communicate with, provide small gifts a few times over the year. These gifts let these students know that we care about their well-being as they go through school far away from home.
