Zonta Club of Olympia is dedicated to annually funding scholarship and award programs that support women (age 16 and above), who are committed to furthering their education / training in order to reach their career, business, or entrepreneurial goals and aspirations. Doris Drees Endowment Scholarship

This scholarship helps remove barriers to education for women who are often returning to college after a period of absence.

Zonta Club of Olympia provides this Endowment Scholarship in memory of a long-time Zontian administrated through South Puget Sound Community College Foundation.

These annual scholarships are generally in the amount of $1000 or more.

Jane M. Klausman Business Award

Jane M. Klausman was an entrepreneur and parliamentarian. This scholarship supports college level women who demonstrate outstanding potential in business related fields.

Olympia Zonta provides a $1000 scholarship annually; $2000 is awarded at the next level. Several $8,000 scholarships are awarded at the international level.

Young Women in Public Affairs

This award supports pre-university women students, 16 to 19 years of age, who have demonstrated outstanding potential in community service and public careers.

Olympia Zonta selects one award winner each year to receive $1000. A $1,000 award is also made at the district level, and several $4,000 awards at Zonta International level.

Our newest Zonta Scholarship is available to women of any age, pursuing a technology degree or closely related program in college/university, and demonstrating outstanding potential in the field.

Also, women who are not enrolled in a university; however, who are pursuing continuing education in information technology or a closely related field are eligible to apply.
