Zometool is a hands-on construction kit from the United States, widely used in math, science and art classes at elementary and middle schools around the world.
From free-form creations to highly precise geometric shapes, children who use Zometool quickly immerse themselves in a deeply creative world.
Even Nobel Prize-winning scientists and NASA researchers turn to Zometool for their research.
Zometool is a precisely designed system that includes spherical connectors with 62 holes and color-coded struts. With Zometool, you can build anything — from simple polygons and Platonic solids to DNA models, domes, and even stunning projections of four-dimensional shapes.
More than just a toy, Zometool is a powerful educational tool that transforms abstract concepts into hands-on discoveries, inspiring creativity and unlocking the wonders of geometry and science.
Unlike traditional building toys, which structures grow block by block, like watching a slow-motion puzzle come together. Zometool sparks a dynamic way of thinking, with the 62 holes ball, transform every new connection into a gateway for discovery. Add a strut to a flat plane, and the faint shape of a cube begins to take form. Extend a strut from a 3D structure, and suddenly, new dimensions open up, allowing shapes to grow in unexpected and fascinating ways. That’s why kids stay so deeply focused when playing with Zometool — their minds are constantly jumping between dimensions and shapes, enjoying the thrill of building and discovery.
From middle and high school students to university learners, Zometool is an exceptional tool for mastering geometry. Used in over 4,000 schools worldwide, it supports the teaching of art, science, mathematics, and more. Students love learning with Zometool, making it a favorite among educators.
For scientists, engineers, and designers, Zometool serves as a highly precise modeling tool. It is trusted by Nobel Prize winners, NASA engineers, scientists at Sandia National Laboratories, and professors at leading institutions like Yale, MIT, and Stanford.

The Zometool piece “Richert-Penrose” honors Clark Richert, inspired by his “Phi Tesserae.” It was installed at Denver's HR Mine on Christmas Eve 2022.
Zometool was born in the United States, inspired by Steve Baer’s visionary ideas on polyhedral geometry and dome structures. Motivated by his concepts, Marc Pelletier and Paul Hildebrandt set out to create a construction toy that many believed was impossible to produce. Achieving a level of precision as fine as the width of a human hair to ensure perfect connectivity and stability, they spent 13 years refining the design before it was ready for mass production. The result is a tool of unmatched accuracy and complexity, making Zometool a unique platform for endless creative exploration.
