This document summarizes the installation and adjustment methods for users with unsupported avatars.
Please note that unsupported avatars are not covered by our support system; this document is intended as a reference for making adjustments yourself.
※This document does not guarantee 100% functionality.
This product requires Modular Avatar to be installed. Modular Avatar itself is not included in this package, so please install it beforehand from the URL below.
※This time, we will use Manuka as an example.
Place the [CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)] prefabs directly below your avatar.
Once you've loaded it, select "Armature.1" from "CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)" and then in the Inspector, select "Reset position to match original avatar".
Please check the box as shown in the image.
After checking the box and running the program, it will roughly align the position.
1. After roughly aligning the position, select [Lower_arm.R(L)] from [CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)] → [Armature.1] and adjust its position.
(It's easier to select and move both arms at the same time.)
After aligning the arms, you may find that the arm insertion points do not perfectly match your avatar's arms.
In that case, select 【CP_DevilArm01_model_L/R】 and use the embedded blendshape to widen the insertion points and adjust them.
Once you have finished adjusting the position, right-click on 【CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)】 → Modular Avatar → Click Setup Outfit.
Drag and drop the adjusted 【CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)】 into the Prefabs folder and save it as a Prefab Variant.
It's a good idea to name it something easily identifiable, such as adding your avatar's name to the end.
※Please be careful not to overwrite 【CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)】 at this time.
If you accidentally overwrite it, please re-import the unitypackage to restore it.
Delete the 【CP_DevilArm01_Black(Silver)】 file located directly under your avatar in the Hierarchy, and place your custom prefab data directly under the avatar's
directory.
When you lower your avatar's arms or move its fingers, this product should follow suit.
As a final adjustment, if you bend your hand downwards, it will appear as if your avatar's hand is passing through the avatar's body.
In that case, you can create a texture for the cutout you want to hide and apply it to make it invisible.
(Alternatively, you could try using the shrink function of the avatar base model.)
※We provide cutout textures for compatible characters, but please provide your own for unsupported characters.
To create a cutout texture, simply fill in the hand area of the avatar's base body texture with black, and fill in the rest of the texture with white.
For instructions on how to apply the cutout to your avatar base, please refer to the image "(Avatar Name)_How to Remove Mesh.png" included
with this product.
That completes the setup. Enjoy your VRChat life!
