Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ziro mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App" or "Service") provided by Ahmet Cenk Siviş ("Ziro," "Company," "we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App and delete it from your device.
Important Disclaimers — Health, Nutrition, and Well-Being
Ziro is a self-help and educational tool that helps you build awareness of the sugar in your food. It is designed to be calm and non-judgmental.
• The App is not a medical service, medical device, diagnostic tool, therapy, or nutritional counseling, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, including any eating disorder, metabolic, or digestive condition.
• Nothing in the App is medical, nutritional, or psychological advice. No doctor–patient, dietitian–client, or therapist–client relationship is created by using the App.
• Sugar and nutrition figures are automated estimates and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Do not rely on them for medical or clinical decisions.
• Ziro measures the food you log; it does not measure your body. The App makes no promise about weight, body shape, appearance, or any specific health outcome. Individual results vary.
If you have or suspect a medical condition, an eating disorder, or any concern about your relationship with food, consult a qualified healthcare professional. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services. You are solely responsible for your own decisions, actions, and behaviors.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms and that your use is supervised where required by law.
2. Your Account
Ziro creates an anonymous, device-based account for you automatically when you first open the App. You do not need to register or provide a name, email, or password. You are responsible for activity that occurs on your device, and for keeping your device secure. Because accounts are device-based, deleting the App or your device may result in loss of access to your data unless you have taken steps to preserve it.
3. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to download and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. User Content
The App lets you create and submit content such as meal photos, food and sugar logs, and notes ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant Ziro a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, transmit, and display that content for the purpose of operating, providing, securing, and improving the Service — including sending meal photos to our AI provider to estimate nutrition, and using de-identified or aggregated data to improve the accuracy and quality of the Service. We will not publicly display your personal entries. You represent that you have the right to submit your User Content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
• violate any applicable law or the rights of others
• upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content, or images of other people without their consent
• reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or attempt to extract source code, models, or non-public data from the Service
• use bots or automated means to access the Service, or interfere with, overload, or disrupt it
• attempt to bypass security, authentication, or rate limits
• use the App to build a competing product or to train machine-learning systems without our written consent
We may remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
6. Subscriptions
Some features require a paid, auto-renewable subscription, sold and billed through the Apple App Store (charged to your Apple ID).
Plans:
• Yearly — billed once per year
• Weekly — billed once per week
The price of each plan is shown in the App and on the App Store at the time of purchase. Prices may vary by country, region, and currency, and may change over time as described below.
Billing and auto-renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the then-current price unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You authorize these recurring charges and are responsible for applicable taxes.
Managing and canceling. Manage or cancel anytime at Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Ziro. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
Price changes. We may change prices or introduce new plans. If a change affects your existing subscription, you will receive notice as required by Apple and applicable law, and where required your consent will be requested. Changes apply at the next renewal.
Refunds. All purchases and renewals are processed by Apple and are final and non-refundable except where required by law or by Apple's policies. Ziro cannot directly issue refunds for App Store purchases. To request a refund, use Apple's process at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
7. Advertising and Third-Party Services
Ziro does not display advertising inside the App. The App integrates with third-party services (such as Apple, analytics, and advertising and attribution partners) to operate and to measure how our marketing reaches new users. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, policies, or data practices. Your interactions with third-party services are solely between you and that third party, and may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
8. Intellectual Property
The App and all related software, content, designs, graphics, text, branding, trademarks, logos, mascots, interface elements, scoring logic, and underlying technology are owned by Ziro or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your User Content and the limited license granted to you above, no rights are transferred to you.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP AND ALL CONTENT, FEATURES, AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS," "AS AVAILABLE," AND "WITH ALL FAULTS." ZIRO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF ANY NUTRITION ESTIMATE OR INSIGHT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZIRO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, OR FOR ANY HEALTH-RELATED OR EMOTIONAL HARM, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. ZIRO'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ziro and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service, or to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms cease.
13. Changes to the App and Terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the App, and we may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the laws of your country of residence, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the İstanbul Courts and Execution Offices of Türkiye.
15. Apple App Store Terms
These Terms are between you and Ziro only, not with Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent the App is downloaded from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You also agree to comply with the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple end-user license agreement (EULA) at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/.
16. Entire Agreement; Severability
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Ziro regarding the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
