I am a professional educator, a former elected member of the Stanardsville Town Council, and currently sit on the Town of Stanardsville Board of Zoning Appeals (BZA). My community involvement extends beyond elected and appointed office. For over a decade, I have been involved with the Stanardsville Independence Day Committee, which hosts the county's Red White Blue 'n Greene July 4th celebration. During my time on the committee, I served and volunteered in event planning and logistics, and remain the July 4th parade coordinator.  

Fifteen years ago, my husband and I chose Greene County as our home.  As a life-long Virginian, spending summers helping work on my grandmother's farm, I have an appreciation for the rural beauty of Greene County and for the hard work, sacrifice, and faith farming requires; a way of life that should be valued and preserved for the future. As a resident of Greene County, I am blessed each day to be part of a close-knit community. 

I believe effective leadership starts with listening, and not assuming that I already have all the answers.  As an independent, fiscally conservative moderate, I believe in examining the facts and data, and reaching a rational practical conclusion.  I want to give back to the community that has become my home and serve the people of Greene County to preserve what we hold dear, and plan thoughtfully for our future.

As a candidate for the Greene County Board of Supervisors, I want to hear directly from residents about what they value, what concerns them, and what they believe our community needs to remain strong. 

I believe in having productive, respectful conversations where we can bring different perspectives to the table, examine the facts, and work together to find practical solutions. 

My goal is not simply to advocate for my own ideas, but to listen, learn, collaborate, and find common ground so that together we can make Greene County an even stronger place to live, work, raise a family, and build our future.
