I'm a postdoctoral associate at the C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics. I earned my Ph. D. at UC Davis. My research interests primarily lie in the fields of quantum information and theoretical condensed matter physics. My research interests lie at the intersection between topological phases of matter and quantum error correction. Specifically, I focus on:
(1) applying adaptive quantum circuits for preparing ground states of topological phases and performing universal quantum computations,
(2) exploring the structures and properties of random quantum circuits,
(3) investigating general properties of topological phases, including generalized symmetries, gauging dualities, and topological defects,
(4) exploring topological invariants and classifications of mixed-state SPTs and topological orders,
(5) exploring the mathematical aspect of topological phases, including topological field theory and (higher)-category theory, and investigating their applications in topological quantum memory and topological quantum computation.
