My name is Zichong Chen, currently a Research Associate working with Prof. Daniel Jacob in the Atmospheric Chemistry Modeling Group at Harvard University .
My research seeks to better understand greenhouse gas (GHG) and air pollutants at various spatiotemporal scales, by utilizing observations from the expanding fleet of satellites; I also have a particular favor in advancing carbon-climate interactions. At the heart of of my work is to facilitate data-driven actions by quantifying emission levels, identifying responsible root-causes, and providing actionable insights to stakeholders (bring-data-for-climate-action). To achieve this, I employ data assimilation and atmospheric modeling, aiming to construct a robust statistical framework to readily harness the wealth of satellite data.
