Zhu Liu (刘铸)

I am an Applied Science Manager at Amazon Prime Video. Before that, I was a Senior Staff Algorithm Engineer at Alibaba DAMO Academy and a Scientist at AT&T Labs – Research. I received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in 1994 and 1996, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from NYU Tandon School of Engineering in 2000. I was an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University and New York University. My research interests include video and multimedia content analysis, 3D vision, machine learning, and big data. In 2017, I received the AT&T Science & Technology Medal for my contributions and leadership in video analytics.  I hold 234 granted U.S. patents and have published 80 conference and journal papers and book chapters. I am serving as an associate editor for IEEE Transactions on Multimedia and IEEE Signal Processing Letters. I am also on the organizing committee and technical committee for many IEEE International Conferences. I am a senior member of IEEE.
