Zhihu Answer Viewer does not collect, sell, or transmit user data to the extension developer or any developer-operated server.
When the user explicitly starts a capture, the extension retrieves answer content directly from Zhihu using the user's existing browser session. This may include text, images, videos, hyperlinks, and related answer information.
Extension settings, temporary capture data, AI configuration, and user-provided API keys are stored locally in the user's browser.
The extension does not operate a backend service for collecting user information.
AI services are provided by independent third-party providers selected by the user, not by the developer of Zhihu Answer Viewer.
The extension supports optional AI services such as Gemini, OpenAI, DeepSeek, Kimi, Qwen, Doubao (Volcano Engine), and user-configured compatible APIs. Users independently choose their AI provider and supply their own API key.
Only when the user initiates an AI-related action, the extension sends the necessary information directly from the user's browser to the selected AI provider. Depending on the action, this may include:
The user's API key, for authentication.
Selected Zhihu content and user prompts.
AI conversation history, including follow-up messages.
Images, when included in the AI request.
The extension may also send the API key to the selected provider's API endpoints when the user explicitly requests connection testing or model information.
The extension developer does not receive users' API keys, AI requests, conversation content, or AI responses, and does not operate an intermediary server for AI requests.
The extension provides API destination confirmation and trusted-address management to help users control where API keys are sent.
Third-party AI providers process submitted information under their own terms and privacy policies. Any processing, logging, or retention by those providers is independent of the extension developer and is not controlled by the developer.
AI functionality is entirely optional. Capturing, reading, and exporting Zhihu answers does not require an AI provider or API key.
When the user chooses to save captured content, HTML files and optional media files are saved locally to the user's device. Media files are downloaded directly from their original source URLs.
Exported HTML files may contain captured Zhihu content, AI settings, and conversation history.
If the user explicitly enables the option to include an API key, the API key is stored as plain text in the exported HTML file. Anyone with access to that file may be able to read the key.
Users should avoid sharing exported files containing API keys, private conversations, or other sensitive information.
The extension does not contain advertising, analytics, telemetry, tracking, or remotely executed JavaScript or WebAssembly code.
The extension does not intentionally collect browsing history, keystrokes, mouse activity, financial information, health information, or location data.
The extension does not request or collect Zhihu login passwords. User-provided AI API keys are stored locally and sent only to the configured AI service endpoints when needed for user-initiated AI operations.

用户选择的知乎内容及提示词。
AI 对话历史，包括跟进消息。
AI 请求中包含的图片。
当用户主动测试连接或查询模型信息时，扩展也可能向所选服务商的 API 地址发送 API Key。
扩展开发者不会收到用户的 API Key、AI 请求、对话内容或 AI 回复，也不运营用于转发 AI 请求的中间服务器。
本扩展提供 API Key 发送地址确认及可信地址管理功能，帮助用户控制密钥的发送目标。
第三方 AI 服务商会按照各自的服务条款及隐私政策处理提交的信息。第三方服务商可能进行的数据处理、日志记录或数据保留行为均独立于扩展开发者，开发者无法控制。
AI 功能完全可选。用户无需配置任何 AI 服务或 API Key，即可抓取、阅读及导出知乎回答。
当用户选择保存已抓取的内容时，HTML 文件及用户可选下载的媒体文件会保存到本地设备。媒体文件直接从其原始来源网址下载。
导出的 HTML 文件可能包含已抓取的知乎内容、AI 设置及对话历史。
如果用户明确启用保存 API Key 的选项，该 API Key 将以明文形式存储在导出的 HTML 文件中。 任何取得该文件的人都可能读取该密钥。
请勿随意分享包含 API Key、私人对话或其他敏感信息的导出文件。
本扩展不包含广告、分析、遥测、追踪功能，也不会执行从远程获取的 JavaScript 或 WebAssembly 代码。
本扩展不会主动收集浏览历史、键盘输入、鼠标活动、金融信息、健康信息或位置数据。
本扩展不会索取或收集知乎登录密码。用户提供的 AI API Key 存储于本地，仅在用户主动执行相关 AI 操作且需要身份验证时发送至所配置的 AI 服务 API 地址。
