Hi, I am an assistant professor at UC Davis department of Computer Science. As a researcher, I am passionate about identifying the frontier of technologies that can change the world. My research interests span across deep learning, efficiency and robustness, and their applications. Before joining UCD, I was a research scientist at Google DeepMind (previously Google Brain). At Google, I work on multi-task deep learning as well as its applications in recommendation systems, natural language processing, and computer vision. Before Google, I obtained my PhD at the University of Michigan, advised by Professor Qiaozhu Mei. Before that, I obtained my Master and Bachelor degrees at Peking University, China, advised by Professor Bin Cui.
If you are interested in my research, you can find a list of my publications on Google Scholar. If you are interested in anything but my research, you can follow me on instagram. My cv can be found here.
Why I left Google DeepMind as a researcher during the AI hype?
