Goal: Enhance Alexa functionality to map rooms and detect peoples movements using the speaker and the microphone array on Amazon Echo Plus with FMCW and phase matching algorithm.

Design: Process multi-channel sound data using Beam-forming, FM-CW, coe cient of determination to detect and interpret echos of the sound.

Functionality: Used Systemverilog to implement a functional processor, that has some advanced features including Branch Prediction & Recovery, Prefetching, and Age logic for Load-Store Queue.

Simulation: Programmed testbenches to unit test and debug each module and the entire pipeline.

Optimization: Programmed Bash scripts, Make le and TCL scripts to compile, synthesize and validate the Systemverilog code. Analyzed and optimized the performance of the processor by nding and shortening the longest critical path with the generated report.

Bluetooth Mesh WSN for Occupancy Detection System in a Library

Research: Researched Bluetooth Mesh and their compatibility and implementation with various types of hardware.

Prototype: Prototyped the Sensor Node on a Arduino Dev board and developed a driver for IR sensors(AK9753).

Simulation: Collected data from sensors and developed Python scripts to provide visuals, and validate ltering and classification algorithms.

Design: Collaborated on the PCB design of sensor nodes. Programmed for the chip(NRF52832) to collect data and encode all information in advertising data. Worked with team members to improve the reliability of mesh nodes. Contributed to the the design of the gateway node. Set up a web server and designed Restful APIs using Python flask on a Raspberry Pi. Built a web application using Bootstrap and JQuery for Demo.

Report and Presentation: Wrote the proposal, milestone reports and the nal report for the project. Designed the poster and presented the project in a Design EXPO of University of Michigan.

Computer Assisted Fertility Analysis for Animals
