Those who want to present their work in this meeting, are requested to share the abstract and article while filling up the form, before the deadline. A few slots are reserved for the Young Researcher's Talk.
The study of zero mean curvature surfaces in R^3 (minimal surface) Â has witnessed significant progress since its initiation over 200 years ago. However, the topics of maximal surfaces (ZMC surfaces) in the Lorentz-Minkowski space and ZMC surfaces in hyperbolic spaces are relatively recent. The Geometry@SNU group in the Department of Mathematics is working on Zero Mean Curvature surfaces in the Lorentz--Minkowski space.
The main aim of this workshop is to look for unifying themes in the research of the people working in this area and set up the possible further directions of research. Researchers in the early stages of their careers will get to engage with the most important and promising problems in this direction.
The proposed discussion meeting is aimed at enthusing faculty, students, and postdocs to study and explore this existing and exciting area of research.
ICTS-TIFR had organized a similar Discussion meeting on Zero mean curvature surface in 2020
