If you want a larger, versatile surface that handles heavy items and offers four pieces for multiple locations, choose ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad; if you need a compact, white accent piece that stays hidden in tight corners without dominating your view, choose Teybouk 2. Both products solve the same fundamental problem of keeping loose change and phones from sliding around during sudden stops, but they approach the solution with different philosophies on size, quantity, and placement strategy.
• ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad: The standout strength is its generous footprint and bulk value, offering four large pads (5.9" x 3.5") that can be cut down or used as-is for bigger items like GPS units or perfume bottles. Its trade-off is that the sheer size and black color might dominate a minimalist dashboard aesthetic or block visibility if placed poorly. This pick is for drivers who prioritize utility and capacity over subtlety.
• Teybouk 2: The clear winner here is discretion and precision; these two circular mats are only 3 inches in diameter and come in a crisp white finish that blends into light interiors without looking like a patch of gum. The trade-off is the limited surface area, which restricts usage to small items like keys, coins, or a single phone, making it less ideal for heavier accessories. This pick is for those who want a tidy look and have minimal clutter to manage.
The ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad is designed for the driver who needs serious holding power and flexibility. With dimensions of 5.9 inches by 3.5 inches, this pad provides a substantial platform that feels secure under a smartphone, a set of sunglasses, or even a small water bottle. The fact that the package includes four distinct pads changes the game entirely; you aren't just securing one spot on the dash. You can place one near the windshield for navigation, another on the center console, a third in the passenger glove box, and keep a spare handy. This versatility makes it an excellent companion for families or individuals who frequently move items between different surfaces inside the vehicle.
Durability is a core promise of this product, backed by its construction from high-tenacity PU gel. The material is washable, allowing you to rinse off dust or grime with plain water and let it dry naturally to restore its tackiness. The manufacturer claims it can be reused approximately 1000 times, suggesting a long lifecycle that outlasts many cheaper adhesive alternatives. For parents managing teen drivers, this reliability is crucial; a pad that loses its grip after a few months leaves a teenager with a loose phone that could slide into their lap or onto the pedals, creating a genuine safety hazard.

However, the "bigger is better" approach comes with caveats. Because the pads are relatively large and opaque black, they will be highly visible. If you drive a car with a sleek, dark interior where you prefer everything to blend seamlessly, these pads might look like an eyesore. Furthermore, while the material is described as traceless upon removal, applying such a large amount of adhesive gel to a dashboard requires confidence that you won't trap heat against sensitive electronics or obstruct air vents. It is best suited for drivers who view the dashboard as a functional workspace rather than a display case. If your priority is maximizing the number of items you can keep secure with a single purchase, this is the tool for you.
The Teybouk 2 takes a completely different approach, focusing on precision and aesthetics rather than raw surface area. These mats are compact circles with a precise diameter of 3 inches, designed to be unobtrusive. The white color is a deliberate choice that sets it apart from the ubiquitous black options found everywhere else. In a car with a light-colored or two-tone dashboard, a white mat disappears almost completely, whereas a black one stands out like a stain. This makes the Teybouk 2 an ideal choice for drivers who care deeply about the visual integrity of their vehicle's interior. It keeps the space organized without drawing attention to itself.
Functionally, the Teybouk 2 relies on the same core technology as its competitor: a soft, tough, odorless PU material that is waterproof and washable. Like the ZC GEL option, it maintains its anti-slip properties even after cleaning, ensuring that small items like keys, coins, or a single smartphone don't fly across the cabin during an emergency stop. The double-sided self-adhesive design ensures it sticks firmly to the dashboard without needing extra glue, yet it remains removable without leaving residue or damaging the original finish. The inclusion of two pieces allows for a bit more flexibility than a single unit, perhaps placing one for keys and one for a phone, though the 3-inch limit still dictates what fits.
This product is not for someone trying to mount a tablet or a large perfume bottle. The 3-inch diameter simply cannot support larger objects securely. However, for the driver who tends to drop coins or lose keys, this is a perfect solution. It creates a dedicated "home" for the smallest, most annoying clutter items. The compact nature also means it doesn't interfere with other dashboard features or block the driver's line of sight. It is particularly well-suited for urban drivers or those with smaller vehicles where every inch of dash real estate counts. If your main goal is to eliminate tiny hazards and maintain a clean, bright aesthetic, the Teybouk 2 delivers exactly that without the bulk.

• Best for larger items → ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad (5.9" x 3.5" vs. 3" diameter).
• Best for compact, discreet storage → Teybouk 2 (small footprint minimizes visual clutter).
• Best for light-colored interiors → Teybouk 2 (white finish blends in; black stands out).
• Best for multi-surface use → ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad (larger pads work well on desks, kitchen counters, etc.).
• Best for specific small-item organization → Teybouk 2 (perfect for keys, coins, and single phones).
• Best for durability claims → ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad (specifically notes ~1000 reuse cycles).
• Best for minimalist aesthetics → Teybouk 2 (exquisite size does not occupy too much space).
In my opinion, the ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad is the superior choice for most drivers, especially when considering the needs of a teen driver. The ability to handle larger devices securely and the inclusion of four pads provide a level of security and flexibility that a 3-inch circle simply cannot match. A young driver is more likely to have a phone mounted for navigation or a set of keys jangling around; the larger surface area of the ZC GEL pad offers peace of mind that the device won't slip. While the Teybouk 2 is charming and effective for small trinkets, the ZC GEL offers a more robust solution for the chaotic reality of daily driving. I would buy the ZC GEL pack to ensure all my essential items stay put, regardless of how hard I brake or how sharp the turns get.
Both products are described as traceless and non-damaging, meaning they should be safe for standard dashboard materials. However, always test a small corner first to ensure compatibility with your specific dashboard finish before full application.
Yes, both the ZC GEL and Teybouk mats are made of washable PU material. You can rinse them with water to remove dirt, let them dry, and they will regain their stickiness for repeated use without losing effectiveness.
According to the product specifications, both brands claim their adhesive is removable and traceless, designed to lift off cleanly without leaving behind sticky gunk or damaging the underlying surface.
The ZC GEL Sticky Dash Pad offers a larger contact area, which generally provides more stability for heavier items like smartphones compared to the smaller 3-inch Teybouk 2 mat.
