Account Memory is a browser extension and Android application published by ZarApps Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information Account Memory processes, why it is needed, and how it is protected.
When detection is enabled in the browser extension, Account Memory may process information visible on sign-in interfaces, including:
email addresses or usernames associated with an account;
the website or service where the account was observed;
the sign-in method used, such as password, Google sign-in, or a remembered account;
metadata about where a related password is stored;
observation timestamps, confirmation status, and evidence used to build the account record.
The Android application does not monitor other apps or automatically detect accounts. Accounts are added manually by the user or imported from an encrypted Account Memory export.
Account Memory does not read or store password values, one-time passwords (OTPs), authentication tokens, cookies, or Passkey secrets.
This information is used only to provide Account Memory's core functionality: helping users remember which account identity and sign-in method they used for a website or service and where the related password is stored.
Account Memory does not use this information for advertising, profiling, credit scoring, lending, or purposes unrelated to Account Memory's core functionality.
Account Memory stores the user's account map locally in the browser or on the user's Android device, depending on the version being used.
Account data is protected at rest in an encrypted local vault.
The user's Master Password and Recovery Key are used to protect and recover the vault. They are not stored as plaintext account data.
Account Memory does not send the user's account map to a ZarApps Studio or Account Memory server.
ZarApps Studio does not sell, rent, or transfer Account Memory user data to third parties.
Account Memory contains no advertising, analytics, or telemetry.
If a user chooses to open an external service, password manager, recovery page, privacy page, or support contact from Account Memory, the relevant third-party service may receive the normal information associated with visiting that service. The third party's own privacy policy then applies.
In the browser extension, detection requires affirmative user consent and can be disabled at any time from Account Memory's Privacy & Settings screen.
The Android application does not monitor other apps or automatically detect accounts. Accounts are added manually or imported by the user from an encrypted Account Memory export.
Users can review their stored account information and delete their Account Memory data from the browser extension or Android application.
Account Memory also provides encrypted export and import functionality so users can create and restore a portable encrypted backup.
Account information remains in the user's local Account Memory vault until the user deletes it, removes the browser extension or Android application and its stored data, clears the application's data, or replaces the data through an import operation.
ZarApps Studio does not maintain a server-side copy of the user's Account Memory vault.
Account Memory uses local authenticated encryption to protect vault data at rest.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but Account Memory is designed to minimize data collection, avoid storing password values, and keep account metadata under the user's control.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if Account Memory's functionality or data practices change.
The current version will remain available on this page.
