After a sleepless night, I made a resolution: no more basketball star. This resolution was hard to keep, especially after I threw the ball normally the next day, and of course missed by a mile. My team groaned and shrieked in disbelief. I zapped the next shot, but then made myself throw the third normally. Miss. Then the fourth.

Instinct made me act. I zapped a pencil to the floor just before he took a step. His foot came down on it, and he began to slide. I zapped the pencil my hardest, which was just enough torque to turn the slide into a total pratfall.

I looked around. Some slob had littered a soda can on the walkway. I zapped it to my hand, and then to the trashcan by the gazebo entrance; when I did the zap, I saw all their eyes widen at the tiny flash of light.

I don't have proof, but I'm 95% sure that before I zapped the GPT table, MBR said something other than not present. And I'm 50% sure it wasn't present, but I can't remember what (I'll probably remember in a few days when this is solved...).

I recently stumbled upon an electric bug zapper on a site that has a mesh basket to catch the dead bugs. The thought occurred to me that the zapped bugs could be a handy food source for fish. The bugs were healthy enough to fly to the bug zapper and therefore likely not poisoned by insecticides. While not technically a "live" food they'd be a recently alive food. It could be the world's easiest source of recently live food for fish. Just go out everyday, unscrew the container and dump it into the tank. For smaller fish you might even be able to blend them up. If you had a surplus you could toss them into a bag and put it in your freezer for use over the winter when bugs aren't around to be zapped. I've never heard of anyone doing it though. There's probably a reason no one does it, but I'm not sure what it would be.

Then it is just you. Some people just naturally produce static electricity more than others, Linus is one, he always gets zapped. you can either use a static wrist strap on your leg or get a old PSU and plug it in but don't turn it on and just touch it randomly.

No idea. Make sure the PC is attached to a grounded outlet. My family once owned an old Dell Optiplex of which I (ignorant as I was back then) tried to overclock the busspeeds. Didn't succeed very well, reverted back to original clocks but damage was already done. Thing became the longer the more unstable until my brother tried to boot it on a dreary saturday morning and got zapped. Never POSTed again after that. The PC that is. Luckily my brother was fine

I don't know what it is about this office, but it seems everything I touch (doorknob, bathroom faucet, edge of kitchen sink in the break room), I get zapped by static electricity. It's getting old. I feel like that scene in Office Space. 006ab0faaa
