The app may collect and store information required for its functionality, including:
email address and authentication identifier;
scanned product barcodes and scan history;
pet profile information, such as name, species, breed, age and weight;
favorite products;
pet preferences, weight goals and progress entered for Premium features;
barcodes reported as missing from the database;
voluntary poll responses, including the selected option, country or region, pet type and app version.
This information is used to provide app functionality, synchronize user data, personalize features and improve the service.
The camera is used to scan product barcodes and photograph ingredient lists for temporary analysis.
Images taken for analysis are not stored on Zampa’s servers or shared with third parties.
Participation in polls is voluntary.
Poll responses may be used to improve Zampa and create aggregated market statistics. Only aggregated results that do not identify individual users may be shared or sold to companies or research partners.
Email addresses, pet names, internal user identifiers and individual responses are not provided to partners.
Premium features may process information voluntarily provided about your pet, including ingredient preferences, weight, body condition, activity, feeding information and progress.
This information is used only to provide personalized alerts, weight plans, favorite products and food recommendations.
These features provide informational estimates and do not constitute veterinary advice.
Premium subscriptions are purchased and managed through Apple’s App Store.
Apple processes payments and billing information. Zampa does not receive or store payment-card details. The app receives only the subscription status required to activate or restore Premium access.
If enabled, notifications are used for optional reminders, such as weekly pet weigh-ins. Notifications can be disabled at any time in the app or in iOS Settings.
The app uses Firebase services provided by Google for:
user authentication;
secure data storage;
cloud database services;
app analytics.
These services may process technical information necessary for the operation of the app according to their own privacy policies.
Collected information is used only to provide and improve Zampa, maintain security and operate its features.
Personal data is not sold or shared with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes.
Data is stored only for as long as necessary to provide the app’s functionality.
Users can delete their account and associated personal data directly in the app using the Delete Account function.
Aggregated statistics that no longer identify an individual user may be retained.
