I have wasted a whole day trying out different solutions floating around in SO and other place mentioned to enable wifi on the android emulator but to no avail. Can anybody help me figure out how do I enable internet on my android emulator?

Edit: This is the fix for a situation when the emulator's wifi has changed the DNS to some non-working DNS. While this works most of the time, there might also be other reasons which may not fix from this solution.

@TheBaj : I figured the problem with this and fixed it. The problem is when you are connected through the router, the androidwifi in your emulator uses the settings and the sets the DNS to something other than 8.8.8.8 which is the google DNS(I presume this is kinda mandatory setting for the androidwifi to gain internet access). But if i change the DNS in my network settings, the google-services plugin which fetches your dependencies especially the one's getting downloaded from jcenter() will not be downloaded and hence your sync will fail which eventually fails your build.

I hope I save someone a lot of pain, I tried everything everyone said on here, changed the DNS of every network adapter, reinstalled everything, the SDK, the emulator, even android studio, nothing worked, if you find yourself in the same position check if you VMware installed, if you do, don't bother with the DNS just go into Control Panel->Network and Sharing Center->Change Adapter Settings, and disable any and all VMware Network Adapters, then Cold Boot, fixes the issue instantly, you can even enable them later, and it still works

For new searcher users:Sometimes VPN is your solutionChanging of network setting is not possible always because of networking issues. If you are in ip addresses that google does not responding for these regions, your solution is using of vpn.Use a proper vpn (a vpn that trough it you could update your android studio). When your vpn is on start your avd device (ofcourse api level of your emulator is important for example I have not any problem with api 22 but for api 28 is need using of vpn !).This was my experience about android emulator internet.

In my case, I have a galaxy s10e, and I need to put my phone in charge and activate wifi debugging and when it's connected with android studio, I can unplug the phone and it still works. In Huawei there is an option in developer options "Allow ADB debugging in load only mode", we can disable it and it works without charging the phone. On s10e there is no such option, I think that it is allowed by default and we can't change it.

I periodically get this problem (Pairing Android Studio on my Mac to Android Phone, the Computer just hangs after phone scans QR code). When I disable and then re-enable wifi debugging on the Android phone, it connects on the next attempt.

Issue: after following all the steps to connect android phone to EOS R8 (eos R8) the Bluetooth connection is established but WiFi isnt. Upon trying to connect to the access point of the camera on the phone it says password incorrect.

Update guys, so I returned the camera and ordered another. Everything through the studio. The new camera has the same issue but there's a catch. We tried with 7 phones on total.. 5 android and 2 iPhones. The camera connected to both iPhones immediately and to none of the androids. So I guess the issue is with the android connectivity.

Fast update, I've updated to the newest firmware. (Deco M9 Plus1.3.0 Build 20190821 Rel. 54023) Which allows you to turn of Mesh Technology for connected devices. I'm sorry to say that my TV (Philips (55PUS6401/12) with Android 8.0.0) still won't connect to wifi when enabling fast roaming. My original problem still exists with this newest firmware.

@levo thanks for your answer. If that's true then it's not working for me correctly. My daughters iPad keeps connected to the deco on the ground level when she's on the second level.(assuming she started downstairs) If she turns off wifi and on again the iPad switches to the deco on the first level.

Back to your case, we received some feedback and found that the root cause is that the TV does not support fast roaming segment which blocks TV to connect to the Deco wifi network; generally speaking, with the fast roaming enabled, the fast transmisson segment will be included on the beacon frame, it is optional, devices which support it can acheive 802.11r roaming much better, others which do not support just ignore it; It seems that the TV does not support and refuse to connect to it.

I have a S22 Ultra and have noticed this problem for a few weeks at least. I can't recall the exact date that it started to occur because I don't make outbound calls a lot, however, this happens on the wifi at home, at work, and any other wifi network im connected to. I can send texts over wifi, data continues to work in all areas, but outbound calls get dropped immediately. I've turned wifi calling on and off, I've reset my emergency contact info, I've changed my calling preference between wifi preferred and cellular preferred. I've taken out and put back in the SIM card countless times, and I can usually make 1 outbound call after putting the SIM card back in, but that's it. It's definitely a Verizon network issue because I have 3 coworkers who also have s22 ultra on other carriers and they are not having wifi calling issues. I have tried using the Samsung AND the Google phone apps and it is the same result.

We have about 800 android tablets out in the field and we are wanting to deploy systems manager in kiosk mode. But being that the tablets are always traveling and connecting to different wifis and we can not program them all.

When I fly, I connect to GOGO air wifi. In the air, I can send and receive text messages to/from iPhones but I cannot send or receive from Android. When I land and turn off airplane mode, the messages all appear.

I have the same problem with two android phones. My IOS products work fine but the android ones keep ketting disconnected en reconnected. Very very annoying. I am honestly thinking about returning this product because its faulty in my opinion.

First thing I would try to do is to disable beamforming and Mu Mimo see if that is causing the issue. The setting is located in Advanced-Advanced Setup- Wireless setting and should be 2 check boxes at the bottom. The other thing I can think of is the wifi radio may be bouncing back and forth between the satellite and the main router causing the disconnects you could try to position the satellite a little further away if possible.

My android devices and Sony Xperia z4 tablet and phones also experience random WiFi drops frequently, have tried factory resets many times, different channels disabled beamforming nothing works this issue was a lot less frequent on old 16 Firmware with the 18 Firmware it happens constantly

I am running on a self-hosted Nextcloud 16.0.4 installation behind a reverse proxy.

I am able to access, upload, use and utilise the server to its full potential, except for when android clients try to sync with WiFi.

The issue I have is not very obvious, because the client says: Connection error.

great!

Yes nextcloud works 100% fine elsewise. Got smb drive attached locally in Windows, I have Web interface working flawlessly, but android app fails on WiFi. I can also use phone browser and upload normally there.

I just started having this same issue on Android. Also running 16.0.4. Images upload fine over Verizon 4G but not on any wifi. I am able to create a folder manually through the Android app and it is synced. It also seems I can delete anything through the app. But it will not upload any files I try.

I have been following google docs on editing Intune QR code to include WIFI details to auto connect to wifi during enrollment based on the details i have updated the QR code and then using Notepad++ Plugin to generate QR Code with the edited details. When i scan to enroll it gives me error: Wrong QR Code. I have repalced token and checksun details for security purposes here .

In intune it allows to enroll the device as Kiosk device , setup only has one option which allows to set an expiration date of the token and this is what we see in the json. Below is the code that gets generated and it does work , but when i edit it to include wifi details it doesnt work.

Its a WPA/WPA2 wifi, and as per the [ESC-38514] WPA2 Enterprise WiFi Profiles fail to install on Android 11+ devices (92679) (vmware.com... we should add the domain. We did it, but the error persists. The same profile, with the domain added, works fine on Android 11 and 8 devices.

Dear Nikon users, I hope someone can help me. I am not able to find a way to connect my Nikon Z8 to Snapbridge app via bluetooth/wifi to download the images...it has always worked fine with the Z7. Someone can help me? I'm using a Xiaomi 12s ultra updated to miui14. Thanks. 0852c4b9a8
