I have some scripts from Joseph and Mitchell however they are not fully done and to make sure that damage data is being sent I've quickly made my own shooting scrips to show off a demo of how it would work in a way.
I decided to play a little game of hide and seek to show off this map that is being worked on by Alex Needham, but besides from that this test was mainly to show off that damage data can be sent to other clients and disappear when their HP read 0. However there is no respawn mechanic quite yet so it leaves the player who died with a frozen screen with nothing left to do, but that will be my next task to work on so that the game can have some replayablity.
Also, I decided to offer some help and provide a script for gun sounds while this might not be realistic so far it is only a placeholder sound effect in case we get a chance to collect some gun-shooting sound effects.
I didn't need to create the gun really. I should have asked Joseph if his code was ready and then worked off of his code. But it took longer than expected so im going to keep following the video guide, adding sound to the shooting wasn't worth doing in hindsight but I just became bored and it kinda passed the time.
at least I have the part of the code that I need to add when I do receive the gun code.
I'm going to start coding out of college and in more public places just to get more stuff done.
