Our research group is dedicated to advancing high-efficiency, high-power-density power electronics systems for next-generation energy and electrification applications. We focus on the design and implementation of advanced power electronic converters and inverters, supported by innovative magnetic component technologies including planar transformers, inductors, and coupled inductors. A major thrust of our work involves high-switching-frequency DC–DC converter development using wide bandgap semiconductor devices to achieve superior performance, miniaturization, and thermal efficiency. We also develop AI-enabled design optimization methodologies to accelerate converter development, enhance reliability, and enable intelligent design workflows. Through these integrated research directions, we aim to enable scalable, sustainable, and intelligent power conversion solutions for modern energy infrastructures.
