Zachary W Rothe is from Washington USA. Zack is largely a traveler UN agency is often within the thick of designing his next trip. Rothe need to Explore the planet. His mind is often brooding about to go to new places and he desires to do and comprehend all the cultures and regions. After over ten years of traveling the world, I definitely learned my fair share of lessons. Like the time I was robbed on the train because I let my guard down or the time Scott and I showed up at the Bozeman airport only to find that we no longer have a car rental.
Some travel accidents can be avoided and some of them are only part of the trip. You can not plan everything.
Be Flexible
We always planned to delay and try to not get upset when things must be wrong. Patience is very important when traveling!
Make a List
About a week or so before every trip, I made a mental list of items I do not want to forget - I WILL forget if I do not write it down. I have learned that when I think of something, I have to write it down.
Make Photocopies of Important Documents
In the early twenties, I was very good about keeping a copy of my passport in a bag separate from my real passport. Then I'm lazy.
More recently, a friend of mine lost her passport at the airport. He was told that if he had brought a copy of it and extra passport photos they will let the journey. Because he did not, he was forced to forfeit $ 2,000 for flights and a week in Europe. Now I carry a copy with me.
Pre-plan Your Outfits
I'm a lazy, last-minute packer, so I've spent too many trips with all black or all gray clothes because I do not plan my clothes before packing. I look back at photos and wish I had more effort into the packaging.
Enquire about the price BEFORE You Take Public Transportation
It is a good idea to ask about the price before you get on the bus, guagua, or other forms of public transport. We learned our lesson in the Dominican Republic.
