Let's face it, company holiday cards are boring. We don't need another animated GIF of a snowman in our email inbox. In 2018 and 2019, instead of the usual agency holiday card, we chose to do something good for our local SPCA and man’s best friend.
The Challenge
How do you celebrate the holidays and share a company's culture in a way that gets people's attention?
The Solution
With basically no budget, I helped create 24 hours of puppy-filled content and live streamed it out to the world, along with social posts, posters and more. The result—over 300% increase in adoptions, thousands of dollars raised and a bunch of happy dogs.
My Role
Creative concept development, scriptwriting, creative direction, video direction, content strategy, social copy, web copy
The 2019 event kicked off with a series of teaser videos I scripted and directed, starring a very well-trained pooch and a coworker with standup comedy experience.
For the official announcement video, I scripted and choreographed a single-take video to communicate the spirit of Puppython while introducing its human and canine stars.
To highlight some of the animals up for adoption, I wrote social "Good Doggo Award" posts that called out some of their adorable superlatives, from "Best Kisser" to "Best Treat Guard."
A recap of the inaugural 2018 Puppython, celebrating its many successes.
Additional social media posts written to get these great doggos a home.
Posters were also hung up around the community to raise awareness and support for the event.
