Welcome to Vegzi ("we," "us," "our," or the "Company"). This Privacy Policy describes how Vegzi collects, uses, discloses, and protects information obtained from users ("you," "User") of our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please discontinue use of the App immediately.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information to operate and improve the App:
1.1 Personal Data
- Full name
- Phone number
- Email address
- Profile photo (via Google Sign-In, where applicable)
1.2 Location Information
We request access to your device's location to enable accurate vegetable delivery to your doorstep and to display products relevant to your village or locality. Location access may be adjusted or revoked at any time through your device settings; however, this may limit certain App functionality.
1.3 Device and Usage Information
We may collect device identifiers, operating system version, and related technical data through *Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)* to deliver order updates, push notifications, and to maintain app performance and security.
We also use *Firebase Analytics* to collect app usage data — such as screens visited, features used, session duration, and general interaction patterns — to help us understand how the App is used and to improve its performance and user experience. This data is processed by Google in an aggregated/pseudonymous form and is not used to identify you personally.
1.4 Transaction and Order Data
Details of orders placed, delivery addresses, and order history for the purpose of fulfilling and managing your purchases.
1.5 Seller Data (Marketplace Sellers)
If you register or are onboarded as a *Seller* on the App, we additionally collect and process your seller username, contact details, and product/listing information in order to operate the seller storefront, manage orders assigned to you, and communicate with you regarding your seller account. Seller account credentials are stored securely and are used solely to authenticate access to the seller dashboard. Customer order and delivery details are shared with the relevant Seller only to the extent necessary to fulfill an order.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- To process, fulfill, and deliver your orders.
- To create, manage, and authenticate your user and seller accounts.
- To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
- To send real-time notifications regarding order status and account activity.
- To analyze usage patterns (via Firebase Analytics) and improve the functionality, performance, and user experience of the App.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or unauthorized activity.
- To comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following trusted third-party service providers, each of which operates under its own privacy policy:
- *Google Play Services*: Authentication and core app functionality.
- *Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)*: Push notifications.
- *Firebase Analytics (Google)*: App usage and performance analytics.
- *OpenStreetMap (osmdroid)*: Map display and location selection within the App. Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap's servers, which may receive limited technical data (such as IP address) required to serve map tiles.
- *Cloudflare*: Secure data storage and server-side processing.
4. Payment Method
Vegzi currently operates on a *Cash on Delivery (COD)* basis only. We do not process, store, or collect any online payment, card, UPI, or banking information through the App, as no online payment gateway is integrated at this time. Should this change in the future, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly to disclose the relevant payment processor.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures — including encryption, access controls, and secure infrastructure (Cloudflare D1 databases) — to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide you services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Upon a valid deletion request, we will remove or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access, review, and update your personal information.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for location or notification permissions via device settings.

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Intellectual Property and Ownership
All content, features, trademarks, branding, source code, and design elements are the exclusive property of Vegzi. No part of the App or this policy may be reproduced without our prior written consent.
10. Limitation of Liability
Vegzi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the App, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes to This Policy
Vegzi reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
13. Vegzi – Account Deletion
Vegzi is an app developed by Vegfresh.
How to delete your Vegzi account
1.Open the Vegzi app on your mobile device.
2.Sign in to your Vegzi account using Google Login.
3.Open the Profile or Account section.
4.Tap on Delete Account.
5.Confirm that you want to permanently delete your account.
6.Your account deletion request will be processed and your account will be deleted.
Data deletion
When your account is deleted, the personal data associated with your Vegzi account will be deleted, except for any information that we are required or permitted to retain for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes.
