Zero-Friction Notes is built strictly around the principles of minimalism, speed, and absolute privacy:

- No Cloud Transmission of Notes: All notes, voice transcriptions, and trace logs are stored 100% locally on your device. We do not operate external note databases or upload your private content to any remote server.
- No Tracking or Data Selling: We do not track individual user behavior inside the app, and we never sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties or data brokers.
- Clean Experience: The app contains no third-party behavioral advertisements.
2. Device Permissions and How They Are Used
To provide ultra-fast note-taking and voice transcription, Z-FN requests only the strictly necessary Android permissions:
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Exclusively required for the real-time speech-to-text dictation feature. Audio streams are processed via Google's native speech recognition or on-device engines. Z-FN does not record secretly, does not retain raw audio recordings, and never transmits voice data to any private server.
- Local Storage / Files: To save, read, and manage your local text files directly within your device's storage.
- Foreground Service & Widgets: To ensure quick-capture widgets and instant-recording shortcuts on your home screen respond with zero latency without being prematurely closed by the operating system.
3. Third-Party Services
The app may utilize standard Google Play platform libraries (such as Google Play Services or Firebase Crashlytics) strictly to monitor application stability and detect critical crashes. These underlying platform services operate in compliance with Google's privacy standards:
