Directions and Requirements

Below, I listed the minimal requirements for CV, VR, RL, Causal Learning, Robotics and Hardware, and Physics-based Simulation.

If you're interested in working with me, please send me a copy of CV, a slide deck of your previous work AND a one-page research proposal.


CV:

  • Minimal 25 hours in the lab per week
  • Knowledgeable of grammar model
  • Eager to solve challenging problems
  • Proficient in both C++ and Python programming
  • Prior experience with deep learning in pytorch or tensorflow is a plus

VR:

  • Minimal 25 hours in the lab per week
  • Proficient in C++ programming
  • Know how to use git for very large project
  • Familiar with Visual Studio
  • Willing to learn Unreal Engine 4
  • Prior experience in VR is a plus

RL:

  • Minimal 25 hours in the lab per week
  • Prior experience of training RL is a plus
  • Familiar with OpenAI gym is a plus
  • Proficient in both C++ and Python programming
  • Familiar with Ubuntu and CMake
  • Willing to learn ROS

Causal Learning:

  • Minimal 25 hours in the lab per week
  • Proficient in both C++ and Python programming
  • Familiar with Ubuntu and CMake
  • Willing to learn ROS
  • Willing to do lots of reading/literature review

Robotics and Hardware:

  • Minimal 25 hours in the lab per week
  • Proficient in both C++ and Python programming
  • Have degrees in ME or EE is a plus
  • Familiar with ROS, Ubuntu and CMake
  • Good hands-on experience
  • Prior experience with hololens is a plus

Physics-based Simulation:

  • Solid math background is required
  • Minimal 25 hours in the lab per week
  • Proficient in C++ programming
  • Familiar with Ubuntu and CMake
