My name is Gabriel, I’m going into 10th at Lincoln East and Arts & Humanities. I wrote a “book” about dragons for a project in 4th grade and was in a creative writing club in middle school for like a week. I like writing song lyrics when I'm bored, making comics, and I'm a serial thrifter. I’m mentally stuck in 2012 and nobody can stop me. I enjoy bad movies and webcomics. MSPAdventures is my ride or die.. My belts overtake my closet and I could talk about my favorite bands for hours. I think that sums up who I am pretty well. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

Brownies

Everytime I go down to my grandma’s house, she makes brownies. Whenever she hears the grandkids are coming over, she kicks my grandpa out of the kitchen and she makes brownies. Sweet and rich warm all over and soft, not just in the middle. When you come inside you smell it, it's familiar, welcoming. I can feel it, every day spent at my grandma’s, condensed into a smell in the air. Now cover the dish with plastic wrap, keep it there, keep it safe. The kitchen’s warm like brownies, it tastes like chocolate on the tongue, my clothes now smell like cigarettes, I've been in there too long. Despite the smoke my grandma bakes, ignores the black in her lungs, and whenever the grandkids are coming down, there's always brownies around.

Ode to Everyone Here

Hi. I don't know you. But I don't need to. I love you. I love that you're here. I love that you woke up, I love that you ate breakfast and got dressed, I love that you brushed your hair, or put on makeup, or put on your shoes. I love that you blinked, that you breathed, that you smiled. I love you because I know what it's like to not be loved. You are amazing. You're beautiful, handsome, dashing, stunning, pretty, whatever the words are i hope you understand this. If someone tells you "nobody loves you", they're lying. If you tell yourself "nobody loves you", they're lying. Because I do. I don't know you. But I don't need to. I love you.
