Yikang Yu is a Ph.D candidate in School of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University, West Lafayette (Co-operation Ph.D program with Indiana University - Purdue University at Indianapolis) under the supervision of Prof. Jian Xie and Prof. Steven F. Son. Previously, Yikang received his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology (Advisor: Prof. Hui Li). His research interest at Purdue University focuses on the design of advanced energy storage systems as well as the discoveries of the new physics & chemistry of materials for energy storage. He is the author of more than 10 international journal publications, reaching a Google Scholar citation >1000 and a h-index of 15. He is also a invited reviewer for a series of scientific journals including ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Composite Communications, Nano Futures, Nanotechnology, ASME Journal of Biomechanical Engineering, Applied Surface Science, Journal of Physics: Energy, Frontiers in Chemistry, and RSC Advances (>20 times in total).
