I am a bioinformatician currently working on projects related to cancer initiation, glandular eptihelia development, cell plasticity and skin homeostasis. I work on both classical sequencing method and single-cell sequencing datasets. Besides of it, I am specialised in biostatistics.
Until starting PhD position, I have worked as half molecular biologist and bioinformatician, which drove me to have biological insight when working on the datasets derived from mouse or human samples.
My main interests is deciphering the gene regulatory network which controls different biological phenomena, from developmental aspect to the tumour therapeutics.
Not only I am working as a scientist, but I also work as translator or interpreter specialised in medical and biological sector. Mainly translating is between Korean and English, and I got certified as translator in 2014.
I am currently based in Brussels, Belgium since 2018 March. Before moving to Belgium, I have studied in Korea and the States.
