If you want durable, bulk classroom headphones designed for long-term school use with adjustable over-ear comfort for big ears, choose Yunsailing 18; if you need a complete, coordinated back-to-school set that includes a foldable headphone and is sized perfectly for small children, choose Similove Kids Backpack.
• Yunsailing 18: Its biggest strength is the bulk classroom-ready design with individually wrapped units and sturdy, adjustable over-ear cups built for repeated daily use in educational settings; its trade-off is that it is strictly wired, lacks any storage or lunch features, and targets older students rather than toddlers.
• Similove Kids Backpack: Its biggest strength is the all-in-one convenience of a matching set including a backpack, pencil case, lunch box, and foldable headphone specifically scaled for girls aged 3 to 8; its trade-off is that the included headphones are secondary accessories, not the primary focus, and the set is less durable for heavy, multi-year classroom rotation.
• Who is this for?: Choose Yunsailing 18 for teachers needing a reliable class set of headphones or parents looking for a robust audio solution for older kids; choose Similove Kids Backpack for parents buying a first backpack for a preschooler or kindergartener who needs everything to match.
The Yunsailing 18 Pack is clearly engineered for a specific environment: the busy, high-traffic classroom. When you look at the specifications, the first thing that stands out is the quantity. You aren't just buying one pair of headphones; you are getting eighteen individual units, each wrapped separately. This packaging strategy speaks directly to the logistical reality of schools where hygiene and organization matter. Teachers don't have time to hunt for a lost pair, and the individual wrapping ensures that when a student receives their unit, it feels fresh and ready to go. The sheer volume makes this product ideal for educators who need to outfit an entire group without the hassle of managing loose inventory.
From a design perspective, these headphones prioritize durability and fit for growing heads. The ear placement is listed as Over Ear, which is a crucial detail for anyone concerned about comfort during long listening sessions. The ear pads are made from PU leather, a material chosen for its softness and ease of cleaning—a necessity when dealing with children who might sweat or get messy. The headband is adjustable, meaning the device can accommodate a wide range of head sizes, from smaller children to adults. This adjustability is particularly relevant for users with larger heads or "big ears," as the over-ear cup design allows for more space around the ear canal compared to on-ear models, reducing pressure points that often cause discomfort after extended wear.
Audio performance here is practical rather than audiophile-grade. The dynamic driver offers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, covering the standard spectrum needed for educational content, language labs, and video lessons. The maximum sound output sits between 95 and 101 decibels. While this is loud enough to be heard clearly over background noise, it is capped at a level that prevents harshness or potential hearing damage during everyday school use. The passive noise cancellation inherent in the closed-back design helps isolate the student from distractions, allowing them to focus on the audio lesson without turning the volume up to unsafe levels.

However, this product has clear limitations that define who should skip it. The connectivity is strictly wired via a 3.5 mm jack, with a cable length of approximately 1.2 meters (3.94 feet). If you are looking for wireless freedom or Bluetooth connectivity for personal entertainment, this will not work for you. Furthermore, the build is utilitarian. The shell is ABS plastic, and the cable is PVC, materials selected for their resistance to corrosion and breakage, but they do not offer the premium feel of high-end consumer electronics. There is no battery life to worry about, which is a plus for reliability, but it also means you cannot take these anywhere without a source nearby. This is a tool for the classroom, not a lifestyle accessory for the playground.
If you are a parent looking for headphones for your teenager to use while gaming or commuting, the Yunsailing 18 might feel too bulky and industrial. It is designed for a collective environment where cost-per-unit and longevity are the primary drivers. The "Classroom Headphones" label isn't just marketing fluff; it describes the exact use case. These are built to survive being dropped, stuffed into bags, and used by thirty different students in a single semester. They are not disposable, but they are not meant to be heirlooms either. They are a functional, reliable choice for institutions and families that need a no-nonsense audio solution that fits comfortably for extended periods.
The Similove Kids Backpack represents a completely different category of product entirely. It is not a standalone piece of audio equipment; it is a comprehensive back-to-school kit designed specifically for young girls, typically in the 3 to 8-year-old age range. The core value proposition here is coordination and completeness. Instead of buying a backpack, then hunting for a lunchbox, then finding a pencil case, and finally trying to match a pair of headphones, this set brings everything together in a unified aesthetic. The package includes a 15-inch backpack, a matching insulated lunch bag, a pencil case, and a foldable headphone. For a parent of a child entering kindergarten or elementary school, the psychological benefit of having a "matching set" cannot be overstated. It gives the child a sense of pride and organization right from day one.
The dimensions of the backpack are carefully calibrated for smaller bodies. At roughly 7.1 inches deep, 12.6 inches wide, and 7.1 inches tall, with a 25-liter storage volume, it is described as "just the right size for growing kids." This sizing is critical because a backpack that is too large will sag under the weight of books and slide off small shoulders, causing posture issues. The harness system is designed as a shoulder harness, and the straps are adjustable, ensuring a secure fit as the child grows. The material is polyester with a nylon lining, offering a lightweight profile that won't overwhelm a small child. The water resistance level is listed as waterproof, which is a practical feature for rainy days or spills during lunchtime.
The inclusion of the foldable headphone within this set adds a layer of utility that the Yunsailing does not offer in its standalone form. However, it is important to understand the role of this headphone. It is a bonus feature, not the main event. The headphone is part of a "4PCS Toddler Backpack" set, suggesting it is designed for casual use, perhaps for watching a short movie on a tablet during a car ride or a quiet moment at home. It is not built for the rigors of a 30-student classroom. The design is cute and thematic, likely featuring floral patterns given the "Purple Flower" description, appealing to the preferences of young girls.
This product is best suited for parents who want to simplify the morning routine. Having a lunch box, pencil case, and backpack all in one purchase saves time and ensures nothing gets left behind. The "All-in-One School Set" concept addresses the common pain point of mismatched gear. If your child loses the pencil case, you still have the rest of the set. If the backpack gets dirty, you know exactly what matches it. The recommended uses explicitly mention elementary school, confirming that the scale is intended for early education.
However, there are trade-offs. Because this is a fashion-forward, themed set, the durability of the individual components may not match the industrial toughness of a dedicated classroom headphone like the Yunsailing. The foldable headphone is likely lighter and less robust than a hard-shell, adjustable model. It is also worth noting that the product care instructions specify "Hand Wash Only," which suggests that the materials, while durable for school use, require gentle handling to maintain their appearance and function. This set is a lifestyle purchase for a family, whereas the Yunsailing is a functional purchase for an institution. If you need a headphone that can withstand being thrown in a locker every day for five years, this set might not be the heavy-duty option you need. But if you need a charming, organized start to the school year for a little girl, it is an excellent solution.
• Best for Big Ears and Long Comfort: Yunsailing 18 wins decisively here. The over-ear design with soft PU leather pads and an adjustable headband provides the necessary clearance and cushioning for larger ears, whereas the Similove headphone is a compact, foldable accessory not optimized for extended, comfortable wear.
• Best for Bulk Classroom Use: Yunsailing 18 is the only logical choice. With 18 individually wrapped units, it is designed to equip an entire class simultaneously, ensuring hygiene and organization. Similove is a single-family kit.
• Best for Young Children (Ages 3–8): Similove Kids Backpack is the clear winner. The dimensions, harness size, and thematic design are tailored specifically for toddlers and kindergarteners, while Yunsailing is better suited for older students or adults.
• Best for All-in-One Convenience: Similove takes the lead. It solves the problem of missing accessories by providing a backpack, lunch box, pencil case, and headphone in one coordinated package. Yunsailing is purely audio hardware.
• Best for Durability in High-Traffic Environments: Yunsailing 18 edges ahead due to its ABS shell and PVC cable construction, which are marketed as resistant to corrosion and breakage for repeated use in schools.
• Best for Wireless Freedom: Neither product offers this. Both rely on wired connections (Yunsailing via 3.5mm, Similove's included headphone is also wired), so neither fits a buyer seeking Bluetooth capabilities.
• Best for Storage Capacity: Similove offers a 25-liter backpack, making it superior for carrying books, supplies, and snacks. Yunsailing has zero storage capacity as it is just a headphone.
• Best Value for Audio-Only Needs: Yunsailing 18 provides 18 pairs of headphones for the price of one set, making the cost-per-unit extremely low for those who need multiple devices.
In my opinion, the choice comes down entirely to the user's specific situation and who the end-user is. If you are a teacher or a parent looking for a reliable, comfortable headphone solution for a child with big ears who needs to listen for long periods, the Yunsailing 18 is the superior technical choice. The over-ear design and adjustable fit address the physical comfort requirements far better than the foldable accessory found in the other set. However, if you are a parent preparing a young girl for her first few years of elementary school and you want to buy one item that handles the backpack, lunch, and basic audio needs, the Similove Kids Backpack is the more practical and delightful purchase. I would personally choose the Yunsailing 18 if I needed to solve a comfort issue for an older child, but I would pick the Similove set to make back-to-school shopping easier for a toddler.
The Yunsailing 18 features an over-ear design with soft PU leather pads and an adjustable headband, making it a strong candidate for children who need extra room and cushioning. The Similove set includes a foldable headphone that is likely smaller and less adjustable, which may not suit those with larger ears as well.
Yes, absolutely. The Yunsailing 18 is sold strictly as a bulk pack of headphones. You will need to purchase a backpack, lunch box, and stationery separately. The Similove set includes all of these items in one package.
According to the product care instructions, the backpack requires hand washing only. The specific care instructions for the foldable headphone are not detailed beyond being part of the set, but generally, foldable headphones in such sets should be handled gently to avoid damaging the hinges.
Yes, the Yunsailing 18 uses a standard 3.5 mm jack, which is compatible with most phones, computers, laptops, and fitness equipment. However, many modern devices lack a 3.5 mm port, so you may need an adapter.
