Malaysia Tourist Visas Online (e-Visas)

Foreign nationals are welcome in Malaysia as long as they process the visa required for their trip.

The news of the reopening of the country has been welcomed by all those planning a trip to this wonderful country. White sand, waves, sunlight, and fresh air are some of the things we missed the most while staying at home.

To facilitate travel, the Immigration Department of Malaysia has introduced the electronic visa program. This visa application process can now be completed online by foreign nationals from eligible countries since March 2016. Visitors can choose between obtaining a multiple entry visa or a single entry visa to enter Malaysia.

Below, we'll tell you everything you need to know about traveling to Malaysia.

What is the Malaysia visa?

The Malaysia Visa or Malaysia eVisa is an official required visa that allows foreign nationals to enter Malaysia. It is available for tourist purposes. If you wish to do business, work, or study in Malaysia, you will need to apply for a different visa directly at an embassy or consulate. Businessmen wishing to open a representative office in Malaysia will also need to contact the embassy.

The process of obtaining this non-immigrant visa is done entirely online. Once your visa is approved, it is electronically linked to your passport.
