I am a post-doctoral scholar at HEC Liège - Management School of the University de Liège as a post-doctoral researcher.
My work lies at the intersection of political economy and behavioral economics; I run surveys, do experiments, and combine them with large-scale administrative data or representative survey data to unveil patterns of political behavior.
I'm interested in a wide range of topics in political economy, in particular #meritocracy, #media, and #donation.
I am also interested in real estate and transportation; I regularly cooperate with the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy to produce policy-relevant, impact-driven research in this domain.
I completed my Ph.D. at the Paris School of Economics in 2024 under the supervision of Professor Claudia Senik.
For English speakers: You can pronounce it as "Yoo-chen", but please note that this is just an approximation. The u in the word "Yuchen" is a French u or German ü, instead of the English "you".
If you speak French 🇫🇷 : Dites-le naturellement en français; le "u" dans "yuchen" est bien un u français. Donc, quelque chose comme "u-chen" avec un u bien fermé.
If you speak German🇩🇪: Der "u" in "Yuchen" ist eigentlich ein "ü" und "chen" klingt wie "tschen". Also in etwa: "Yü-tschen".
煜yu means the shining of the sun; 宸chen means imperial palace. Both characters are relatively rare and used almost uniquely in first names.
