Have you ever wanted to learn more about the numbers behind your favorite sports? Our workshop for middle school students teaches the fundamentals of statistics within a real-world context. Students will not only learn more about the specifics of the world of statistics in sports, but will also learn how to track and analyze their own data.
Join us for 3 days of playing sports, collecting data, and learning more about the world of statistics. By the end of the workshop, you will have gained the skills needed to make basic statistical calculations and inferences on your own!
Through our workshop, we hope to teach the youth about the world of statistics in a fun and engaging way. Statistics are the backbone of many aspects of life and we hope to provide the younger generation with a foundational knowledge of the wonderful subject. More broadly, we aspire to generate interest in STEM among the younger generation.

Is it okay for my child to miss one of three sessions?
Yes, it is perfectly fine for a student to miss one session, and we will bring them up to speed during the following lesson.
How is the workshop structured (Hands-on activities, lectures, group work, etc.)?
The workshop is split between lectures and group work activities!
Can my child bring friends that haven’t signed up?
Yes! Your child is encouraged to bring peers.

Everything necessary will already be provided!
