YSIA is a youth science & engineering competition organised by the Rotary Club of Ku-ring-gai on Sydney's North Shore. It aims to assist students undertake their own STEM projects through mentoring from high-achieving university science mentors as well as creating a networking hub for the students to develop and exchange ideas.

By taking part in the project, students are then encouraged to submit their project for more prestigious state and national competitions such as CREST (CSIRO), Young Scientists (NSW Science Teachers' Association), Australia Science Innovations and BHP Billiton Science & Engineering Awards. Furthermore, the students will also be able to submit their projects to YSIA for local awards with exciting prizes to be won.

Prizes include a GoPro HERO5 (valued at $540) and three voucher valued at $200 ...
