I completed my PhD in Economics at Simon Fraser University in Summer 2019. I currently work as a macroeconomist/senior manager at the Canadian Western Bank Financial Group. In my role at CWB, I contribute to development of macroeconomic forecasting models and studying the effects of macroeconomic shocks in financial markets.
My research interests are macroeconomics, economic development, and industrial organizations (firm dynamics). In my PhD thesis and current academic research, I combine models of firm dynamics with micro-data on firms to study the role of firm-level frictions and distortions in aggregate productivity.
