SCOUTING THROUGH THE DIGITAL WORLD, BSP USANT'S FIRST EVER ONLINE TURNOVER

As a formal ending to the Scouting Year 2019-2020, the BSP Outfit No. 72- USANT Chapter initiated its first ever Online Turn Over Ceremony with the theme “Adaptation to the 21st Century’s Public Health Emergency: A Walkthrough to Progressive Civilization and Scouting” last August 30, 2020 at 8:00 PM via Zoom recorded through Facebook Live.
Batch Melon A/Y 2019-2020 comprising of the Outgoing Officers and the Aspirants were the spotlight of the ceremony with Ssct. Mare Justine P. Lontayao as the Master of Ceremony.
Scouts, Scouters and Alumni initiated the Entrance of Colors, showing pictures of men carrying flags, with the strokes of drums. V.S. Raf Ezekiel N. Mayao, the Outgoing Grand Senior Executive for Internal Affairs, performed the Call of Order and Mace Installation. Ssct. Moses L. Sabordo led the invocation, while V.S. Mark Tristan N. Quiaño commands with respect to the Philippine Flag, singing the nation’s Anthem. The Pledge of Allegiance was given by Ssct. Mark Eron G. Sales, stating the promises made by a Filipino Citizen to one’s homegrown land. Ssct. Jester Carl SJ. Sumpay with the Scout Oath and Law, and V.S. Kin Iroz T. Zorilla with the Senior Scout Code, guiding the Scouts to recite in unison. The Outgoing Grand Senior Executive for External and Special Events, V.S. Marlo O. Albaño, stated the purpose of the matter.
V.S. Mark Angelo A. Piaca, the Departing Grand Senior Executive for Instructions, gave an Introduction to the Guest Speaker with confidence. The invited speaker was a member of the Outfit, a former Grand Senior Crew Leader Batch 2002-2003 and awarded as an Eagle Scout on 2001, Sctr. Michael T. Sisno.
“You find your purpose, purpose rather than the position itself. A Scout with a purpose, do your part like a well-oiled machine. After months, weeks, and days, we will see in time. Scouting never stops, keep it burning. Let the Scouting Spirit everywhere.” Sctr. Michael T. Sisno stated.
In the later part, the awarding of special awards, certificates and tokens for appreciation to the Scouts during the Scouting Year was announced. For the Excellence in Scouting Events Awards, it was given to Ssct. Christian V. Marmol (Grade 7), Ssct. Ryk Raphael Barrameda (Grade 8), and V.S. Kin Iroz T. Zorilla (Grade 9). The Leadership Awards goes to Ssct. Macy James B. Ngo (Grade 7), Ssct. Cemuel Ivan B. Dipaculang (Grade 8), and Ssct. Jester Carl SJ. Sumpay (Grade 9). The Most Active Awards is presented to Ssct. Dindo C. Caballero Jr. (Grade 7), Ssct. Ganther T. Coronel (Grade 8), and Ssct. Christian A. Boquiron (Grade 9). Finally, the Most Outstanding Awards is granted to Ssct. Andre Yoel B. Orbon (Grade 7), Ssct. Kent Charles B. Namoro (Grade 8), Ssct. Anthony Lorenz J. Francia and Ssct. Mark Eron G. Sales (Grade 9).
The Outgoing Officers led the most intriguing part of the program. It started from the Departing Assistant Executives to the Grand Senior Executives. Each Graduating Scouts gave their final speeches to the people who inspired them to become officers, and also to God. V.S. Clarence Eljan I. Bernales, the Outgoing Grand Senior Executive Officer, was in tears during his message. After their address, they proceed to relinquish their duties and responsibilities to the new Set of Officers Batch Luxiris Scouting Year 2020-2021.
Moreover, it was followed by the Presentation of the Outgoing and Incoming Officers. E.S. Matt Andrew M. Celebrado, the Grand Senior Crew Leader of Batch Melon, now relinquished his commands to the newly appointed Grand Senior Crew Leader, V.S. Kin Iroz T. Zorilla who accepted the stewardship.
Sctr. Roy C. Saberdo, the outfit coordinator gave his confirmation to the Executives. The Incoming Grand Senior Executive for Internal Affairs, Ssct. Moses L. Sabordo, stated the Adjournment. It proceeded to the Exit of Colors and Ssct. Jester Carl SJ. Sumpay led the Benediction. The BSP Outfit No. 72 gave a tribute video to Batch Melon for their service and passion that led to the Outfit’s continuous dominating legacy.
