Yraga/Amudyong, the University of Saint Anthony Junior High School Official student publication, has just concluded the Second Basic Education Online Press Conference today, April 9, 2022, through a Closing and Awarding program via Facebook Live.

With the theme "Rising above circumstances: Empowering Youth Through Campus Journalism", the 2-day event featured different journalism contests like Newscasting, News Writing, Editorial Cartooning, Photojournalism, and more. In addition, the highlighted speech was given by Ms. Maegan Alexis Ababa Almasco as the keynote speaker.

The opening program of the OPC was held through a zoom meeting while being live-streamed on the Yraga/Amudyong Official Facebook page last April 8. During the morning, different events were also held through zoom by their respective facilitators, starting with orientation and lectures given by the judges while the contest proper was held in the afternoon.

Furthermore, this year’s OPC aims to harness the journalistic skills and abilities of the youth despite the hindrances brought by the inevitable circumstances. The event was spearheaded by the Editorial Board together with the School Paper adviser by the Yraga/Amudyong.
