If you want an open-ear headset for active outdoor safety and household multitasking, choose YouthWhisper Headset Open Ear; if you need a fully submersible bone conduction device for swimming laps or underwater training, choose I love e iFecco Waterproof Headphones.
• YouthWhisper Headset Open Ear: The standout strength is its ultra-lightweight 25g design with a flexible titanium frame that stays secure without pressure, making it ideal for all-day wear during chores or light runs; the trade-off is it is only IP65 rated, meaning it handles sweat and splashes but cannot be submerged for swimming. This pick is best for parents looking for bluetooth neckband headphones for children who need to stay aware of their surroundings while doing light exercise or homework.
• I love e iFecco Waterproof Headphones: Its biggest advantage is the robust IP68 rating that allows full submersion up to 3 meters for over an hour, plus a built-in 8GB MP3 player so kids can swim without a phone; the trade-off is the slightly heavier 28g build and the requirement to switch modes for underwater use. This pick is the clear winner for anyone seeking the best sweatproof headset for children who also wants to take their music directly into the pool.
The YouthWhisper Headset Open Ear is engineered specifically for users who prioritize comfort and situational awareness above all else. At just 24.95 grams, this is one of the lightest options on the market, creating a "barely-there" feeling that is crucial for younger users or adults who wear headsets for extended periods. The design features a flexible titanium wire frame that allows for 360-degree bending, ensuring the device can adapt to different head shapes without causing pain or slipping off during movement. For a child wearing this during a long day of school activities or while playing outside, the soft silicone ear pads guarantee they won't feel fatigued by the weight or the clamping force of traditional over-ear models.
What truly sets this model apart is its focus on keeping ears open to the world. While it utilizes bone conduction technology to transmit sound through the skull, the open-ear placement ensures that ambient noise is never blocked out. This makes it an excellent choice for parents managing household chores or supervising children in the backyard; the user can listen to podcasts or music while still hearing traffic, other people talking, or a child calling for help. The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity provides a fast and stable connection within a 10-meter range, allowing for seamless streaming from phones or tablets without the frustration of tangled wires or audio lag.

However, this headset is not designed for aquatic sports. With an IP65 waterproof rating, it is built to withstand sweat and water splashes, which covers most running, cycling, and gym scenarios. It explicitly states it is not suitable for swimming. If your primary goal is to have a noise canceling open ear headphones for children who run in the rain or sweat heavily during soccer practice, this unit delivers reliable performance. But if the plan involves dunking the device in a pool or lake, this product will fail to meet those specific environmental demands. The 200mAh battery offers 8 hours of continuous playback, which is sufficient for a full day of school or play, followed by a quick 2-hour recharge time via Type-C.
The I love e iFecco Waterproof Headphones are built for a completely different set of needs, specifically targeting the serious athlete or the swimmer who refuses to compromise on audio quality. The defining feature here is the IP68 waterproof rating, which goes far beyond simple splash resistance. These earbuds can withstand depths up to 3 meters for more than 60 minutes, making them the only logical choice for lap swimming, surfing, or kayaking. Unlike standard water-resistant headphones, this model is fully submersible, allowing a child to dive below the surface while listening to their favorite tunes without fear of water damage.
Perhaps the most game-changing feature for independent kids is the built-in 8GB MP3 storage. This capacity holds over 2,000 songs, meaning a child can leave their phone at home entirely. Whether they are running a trail where carrying a device is impractical or swimming in a deep pool where Bluetooth signals struggle, the internal memory ensures uninterrupted playback. Users simply sync their playlist via a magnetic cable and hit the water or trails untethered. The transition between Bluetooth mode and MP3 mode is straightforward, though it requires a manual switch when going underwater, as Bluetooth functionality is not supported in that environment.
This headset is also notable for its advanced Bluetooth 6.0 technology, which promises lower latency and a more stable connection compared to older standards. The 28g weight is marginally higher than the YouthWhisper model, but the flexible titanium frame and ergonomic design keep it secure even during high-intensity flip turns or mountain sprints. The 8-hour battery life matches its competitor perfectly, ensuring it lasts through multiple swim sessions or a marathon run. However, it lacks active noise cancellation, relying instead on the open-ear design to maintain awareness of the environment. For a parent looking for a durable, versatile tool that doubles as a standalone music player, this is the superior option.

In my opinion, the I love e iFecco Waterproof Headphones are the smarter investment for a growing child because they cover a wider range of activities. The ability to swim with music and leave the phone behind adds a layer of utility that the YouthWhisper simply cannot match. While the YouthWhisper is an exceptional lightweight option for dry weather and casual wear, the iFecco's IP68 rating and built-in storage make it the definitive best sweatproof headset for children who want to explore every sport. I would buy the iFecco to ensure my child has a single device that works in the rain, the pool, and on the playground without needing to swap gear.
Both models feature open-ear designs that do not block out ambient sound, making them safe for children to wear while running or playing outdoors as they can still hear traffic and others.
No, the YouthWhisper is only IP65 rated, meaning it can handle sweat and splashes but is not suitable for submersion or swimming.
No, it has 8GB of built-in memory that stores over 2,000 songs, allowing you to switch to MP3 mode and swim without connecting to a phone.
